All About MAT Exam
MAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by AIMA in multiple sessions in four phases. The exam is conducted in offline (Paper Based Test or PBT), online (Computer Based Test or CBT), and remote proctored (Internet Based Test or IBT) modes. Though the candidates can take the MAT multiple times, the score of the latest MAT test attempt will be considered.
The MAT exam consists of Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning. The marks obtained in this section are used to generate the candidate's composite score. To get a decent MAT score, one must have a composite score of 400 or higher. Most of the MBA colleges and institutions accept the MAT scores of students ranging between the 80-99th percentiles.
As compared to other MBA entrance exams, MAT is easy. The difficulty level of the exam is easier than the CAT, XAT or CMAT. Some of the most popular MBA specializations include Sales and Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, IT & Systems, Business Analytics, etc.
