List of Documents Required for CAT 2025 Registration

The CAT exam is scheduled to be held on 30 November 2025. CAT Registration will start on 1 August 2025. You must register for the CAT exam 2025 on the official CAT website before 13 September 2025, which is the last date of registration. 

The list of documents required for CAT Exam 2025 registration ensures a smooth registration process without any hustle. To register for the CAT exam 2025, you must log in using your phone number and e-mail ID on the official website of the CAT and upload the required documents needed by the organising authority in the specified format and size. 

Note: IIM Kozhikode is conducting the CAT 2025 exam, and the official website for it has been made live, i.e., https://iimcat.ac.in

CAT 2025 Registration Required Documents 

Some of the important documents that you must keep with you at the time of registration are listed below. 

1. Identity proofs: Scanned copies of identity proofs like an Aadhaar card, Voter card, passport, PAN card, or Driving LicenseCandidate can use any of them. 

• Photograph and signature: A recent passport-sized photograph with a light-coloured background is required in JPEG or JPEG format with dimensions 30 mm X 45 mm and the size of the file should not exceed 80 KB. 

Signatures should be done on a white sheet and uploaded in JPEG or JPEG format in dimensions 80mm* 35mm within the size of 80 KB

1. Academic records: 
1. Scan documents of class 10th mark sheet and certificate is required to verify date of birth and academic qualification 
2. Class 12th mark sheet and certificate are required to verify higher secondary qualification
3. Graduation mark sheets for all semesters and years of bachelor's degree are required 
4. And finally, a degree certificate is required to make sure that you have completed your graduation.
2. Category Certificate or Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
1. Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe certificates issued by the competent authority according to the guidelines of the government of India 
2. Other Backward Class Certificates (OBC) for non-creamy layers which are issued in the current financial year 
3. Certificate for economically weaker section (EwS) as prescribed by the government of India
4. Certificate for a person with a disability (PwD) as prescribed by the government of India
3. Certificates for Work Experience (if applicable)
1. An appointment letter, salary, slip, etc, or any other document to validate your work experience is required, which specifies the details of the organisation you worked in, and for how long along with your roles and responsibilities.
4. Professional degree certificates (if applicable)
1. If you have completed any of the degrees from CA/CS/ICWA, then a certificate of completion is required.

• Bank details

1. The name of your bank account number and IFSC code are required for the payment of application fees 
2. Credit card, debit card, and net banking details are also required for payment of application fees

• Filling out wrong information, like your name and date of birth, which do not exactly match with official documents like birth certificate, school, mark sheet, etc.
• Provide an active email ID and phone number, which is frequently checked and not the one which expired or is inactive.
• Ensure all your mark sheets and certificates have the right information about your marks and percentage along with other details like the name of your university year of passing and the exact marks obtained.
• Do not provide improper photographs and signatures, which does not match the requirements like the size, background colour or format. Avoid uploading blurry, old, or casual photographs.
• Do not upload cropped or distorted signature 
• Do not upload fake category certificates, and adhere to the current year's guidelines. 
• Do not upload identity proofs, which are expired
• Do not upload work experience certificates, which do not have the correct tenure and designation 
• Ensure a stable and reliable internet connection to avoid transaction failures.
•  Also, check for a confirmation mail once the payment has been made and keep proof of it for further use.

You must upload scanned copies of Class 10, Class 12 and bachelor’s marksheets (or certificate) and a final‑year certificate (if applicable), a passport‑size photo, signature, valid photo ID, plus category (SC/ST/OBC‑NCL/EWS) or PwD certificates.
