AFCAT AFSB Interview Process 2025
The entire selection process of suitable candidates through AFCAT is elaborate and intricate as only the best are selected to join the Indian Air Force. The AFCAT interview conducted by the Air Force Selection Board is only a part of the entire selection process of the AFCAT, which also includes the online test.
You have to appear for and qualify in the online exam for AFCAT before appearing for the AFSB interview. The cutoffs for the AFSB interview are released along with the AFCAT online exam result. Yu need to secure equal to or more than the cutoff to be considered for the AFSB interview (Both in AFCAT and EKT for technical ground duty candidates).
The AFCAT AFSB interview process begins after shortlisted candidates are called, and the process is divided into three parts or stages.
- Stage I: You have to go through various tests like the Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Picture Perception Test and discussion test. This stage lasts for one day and is conducted to screen candidates for subsequent rounds; you have to clear Stage I before moving on to the next round. The ones who qualify for stage I are required to go through a document verification round.
- Stage II: This stage is more complex and lengthy than the previous one, as the Stage II round lasts for five days. You have to go through a Psychological Test on the first day. After document verification is complete, the Group Test and Interview are conducted over the rest of the duration of this stage.
- Flying Branch: The ones applying for the flying branch must also go through the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).
