Supreme Court Allows for Extension of NEET PG Admission 2022 Deadline Till Nov 25

NEET PG Admission 2022: The Supreme Court has allowed the National Medical Commission (NMC) to extend the last date for NEET PG admission 2022 till Nov 25, 2022.

In its appeal, the NMC requested an extension because the COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions had postponed the start of the NEET PG counselling for the academic years 2020–2021 and 2021–2022.

The appeal was considered today, Oct 21, 2022, by a bench that included Justices DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli, and the panel approved the NMC's request for an extension of the NEET PG admission 2022 deadline.

On Oct 7, 2022, in order to avoid further delays in the admissions process, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had urged state counselling authorities to conduct NEET PG counselling 2022 of their respective states in accordance with the timetable posted on the NMC website- nmc.org.in
