KCET 2022 Counselling Postponed: Revised Schedule Expected on August 18
KCET 2022 counselling and document verification process has been postponed to the next hearing of the court, which is August 18, 2022.
KCET 2022 Counselling: Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Counseling and document verification for the have been postponed and will start once the Karnataka court hears the matter.
The next court hearing will be held on August 18, 2022. KCET 2022 was held from June 16 to 18, 2022. KCET 2022 results were declared on July 30, 2022.
KCET 2022 is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), for allowing students to get admission into various Engineering, Architecture, and Agricultural courses in colleges/universities across Karnataka.
Why KCET 2022 Counselling is Postponed?
Students whose Pre-University Course (PUC) marks has not been taken into consideration for college admissions through KCET, approached the Karnataka High Court to settle the matter. Hence, KCET 2022 counselling and document verification process has been postponed due to the objection raised by those students.
“The marks of students who graduated in 2021 won’t be considered in order to determine CET rankings. For the purpose of assigning rankings, only the marks received in the CET shall be taken into account.” According to PTI, this is stated in a plea in a KEA note. According to the news agency, Keerthana Y. H. and a dozen other pupils filled out the petition.
The document verification will begin after the Court’s verdict on students’ plea. The next court hearing will be held on August 18, 2022. KCET 2022 was held from June 16 to 18, 2022.
