JEE Main 2022 Steps to Register for Session 1: Check Out More Details

The registration form for JEE Main Session 1 is now available on the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply for the Joint Entrance Examination is April 5, 2022. Moreover, JEE aspirants need to note that the National Testing Agency has made several changes to both the application process and exam pattern of JEE Main 2022.
JEE Main Session 1 Exam Dates
Applicants who have successfully registered themselves for JEE Main 2022 must keep track of the exam dates. The NTA has scheduled the JEE Main Session 1 exam for April 21, April 24, April 25, and April 29. In addition, there are two slots scheduled for next month, i.e., May 1 and May 4.
Points to Keep in Mind Before Filling Out the JEE Main Registration Form
There is no provision for students to update, modify, or edit their registration details for JEE Main. The National Testing Agency has clearly stated that candidates cannot make any changes to the JEE registration form at any point in time. Hence, you must be ready with all your basic details in advance and run a quick check before registering online.
JEE Main 2022: How to Register for Session 1?
Aspirants need to follow a step-by-step process in order to register for JEE Main Session 1. Check out the steps given below:
- Visit the official site – jeemain.nta.nic.in
- To register, you will be asked to provide your valid email address and mobile phone number.
- Once you fill in these details, you will be assigned an application number. Note this number for future reference.
- The next step is to fill out the rest of the JEE Main registration form using this auto-generated application number.
- Save time by keeping scanned copies of all required documents handy. As soon as the system prompts, you need to submit these copies. These copies also include scanned copies of your signature and passport size photograph.
- The final step is to make the payment. The payment must be made using the online mode itself.
- Click the submit button. After you submit the form, you will receive a link to download the receipt. Print out this receipt for future reference.
Mode of JEE Main Exam 2022
It is not possible to modify the choices this year. While registering for the exam, aspirants must keep this in mind and choose a language they are comfortable with. According to the National Testing Agency, the first session of the JEE Main exam will be held in Urdu, Odia, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. These languages are available in addition to general choices of Hindi and English.
Exam Pattern of JEE Main 2022
This year there will be negative markings for optional questions introduced in 2021. According to the NTA, the JEE Main question paper will consist of two parts. Part A will have 20 mandatory questions. At the same time, part B will consist of 10 numerical questions. Students may choose to attempt any five of these questions. The National Testing Agency has announced that there will be negative marking for both sections A and B.
