DRDO Recruitment 2022 Application Deadline Extended

DRDO Recruitment 2022: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recruits candidates for 630 scientist B and engineer positions. Through the official website, graduate engineers and postgraduates in science, including students appearing in their final year examination, can apply for the positions. The DRDO has extended the application deadline until 5 August 5 p.m. Initially, the application deadline was 29 July.

Applicants must have a valid GATE score. The official announcement states that “The applicants who have been shortlisted based on the GATE scores or Written Examination will be required to appear in the Personal Interview to be held in Delhi or any other venue as decided by RAC/DRDO.” There are 630 positions open, but 579 are designated for scientist-level positions in DRDO, 8 in DST, and 43 in ADA.

Steps to Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2022

• Click on the “Recruitment of Scientists B in DRDO/ADA/DST (579/43/8) vacancies” link.
• Select “apply online.”
• Register and log in to apply for the various positions.
• Fill out the form with the necessary information.
• After paying the application fee, submit the application.
• Download and print the application form

Application Fee: Male candidates from the General (UR), EWS, and OBC must pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 100 online. Candidates who are SC, ST, PwD, or women do not have to pay an application fee.

DRDO Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Candidates must have a valid GATE scorecard in the subject of the post’s specialisation and have earned a first-class undergraduate degree. Other educational requirements differ from host to host.

Age Requirements: For DRDO, DST, and ADA posts, the maximum age limits for unreserved and EWS candidates are 28, 35, and 30 years old, respectively. For DRDO positions, 38 years for DST positions, and 33 years for ADA positions, the maximum age for OBC (non-creamy layer) applicants is 31. Candidates from SC and ST may not be older than 35 years for ADA, 40 years for DST, or 33 years for DRDO positions. Additional candidates from the reserved categories have received a 10-year relaxation. Candidates currently employed by the Central Government in positions in the same or related cadres may apply with a five-year age relaxation.

DRDP Recruitment 2022 Selection Process

The candidates will be chosen based on their aggregate score in the written examination, which will account for 80% of the final score, and their performance in the personal interview, which will account for 20% of the final score. The final selection of candidates will be based on the discipline-by-category merit of the aggregate of 80% weightage of the GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in the interview phase for disciplines that will not have a written test. The final result chart (developed for specific candidates) will be posted on the RAC website.

Salary: Scientists who are hired will earn up to Rs. 88,000 per year, or Rs. 56,100 at level 10 of the pay matrix (7th CPC).
