Delhi Skill And Entrepreneurship University: The Delhi Government launched its second Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) centre on Wednesday. The centre will provide soft skills training and job-oriented skills education to youth who belong to low-income communities. Delhi Skills and Entrepreneurship University has agreed with the Pune-based Lighthouse Communities Foundation, a non-profit in nature. They have also agreed with Micheal and Susan Dell Foundation to set up lighthouses in the areas which are close to slums in Delhi. They aim to help disadvantaged youth to help them earn a decent livelihood.
A word from Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia
Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia will inaugurate the lighthouse center in Malikganj. The center will address the skill developments of youth living in nearby slum areas. The center will offer short-term, high-quality vocational skilling courses to the youth of the slums. Education Minister Manish Sisodia further said that the lighthouse centre would offer lots of employment opportunities to youth between 18 to 30 years of age.

He even addressed that Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) is the country’s first unique university to provide job opportunities to the youth of the slums. It has taken steps to create a plethora of opportunities and skill development courses for underserved communities and provide them with a university-level centre in the slum areas. However, the centre has the following infrastructure
- Eight Training Rooms
- Two Open Classrooms
- Retail Course Room
- Counselling Room
- Makeup Skill Room
- Self Learning Space
- Video Conferencing Room
- 20 Computers
- Fully equipped tech hub with wifi connection
The government, in a statement, said that the centre has a beautiful music room for young people. The youth community can create and learn music there. From Malikganj, 600 youth from the slums will be given different technical and life skills training every year.
The vice chancellor of Deli Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU), Neharika Vohra, has said that this project will help reach many underprivileged communities and provide them with short-term certificate courses in various domains.
