WBSU PhD Admission 2022: The application process for admission to PhD programme at West Bengal State University (WBSU) has begun. Admission is open in the departments of Anthropology, Computer Science, Physical Education & Sports Science. To apply, visit the official website: wbsu.ac.in
Before the candidates start the application process, they must make sure they qualify the eligibility criteria. If they are eligible, they must physically submit a copy of the required documents to the university admission cell before 25 August.

Steps to Apply for WBSU PhD Admission 2022
Candidates must follow these steps to apply successfully:
- First, visit the official website of the West Bengal State University: wbsu.ac.in
- Then under the ‘Admission Notification’ section, click on the notification about the PhD admissions.
- The notification PDF consisting of the application form will appear on the screen.
- Then download the application form, take a print out and fill it out.
- Also, attach self-attested copies of all the necessary documents mentioned in the application form.
- Finally, submit the application form and the document copies at the university along with the application fees of INR 1000 in cash or via DD.
Eligibility
The only criterion for PhD admission is as follows.
- A postgraduate degree in the concerned subject from a recognised university, securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate marks (50% Marks for SC/ST/PH candidates).

Selection Process
- After the application forms are submitted, the candidates will be selected based on some factors. They include the performance in the qualifying degree examination, Research Entrance Test (RET), followed by a viva-voce cum interview round conducted by WBSU.
- Furthermore, UGC-NET/ SET/GATE qualified candidates are also eligible to apply
