The IIT Bombay will close the UCEED 2022 second round for seat acceptance & fee payment by tomorrow, May 26. The candidates can accept the allotted seats or opt to upgrade them. Additionally, those wanting to withdraw their allotted seats can do so before June 5, 2022. The seat acceptance and payment of fees can be done online at IIT Bombay’s official website uceed.iitb.ac.in.
In addition, the seat acceptance fee for open-category candidates is INR 60,000. Meanwhile, for SC, ST, and Person with Disability candidates, the seat acceptance fee is INR 15,000. Some important headers for round II are given ahead.
Options for Students in Counselling Round II for UCEED 2022
Candidates who received a seat in Round II have these options:
- Accept – students can accept (freeze) the seat and pay the seat acceptance fee. After the payment, the seat will be confirmed. The candidate will not be considered for upgrade or allotment in later rounds.
- Decline – The candidate can decline the seat and not pay the seat acceptance fee. In this case, the candidate will be considered out of the admission process altogether.
- Upgrade (float) option – Herein, the candidate retains the current allotment, but if there is a better seat available (based on their preference), the candidate will receive it. Moreover, the authorities will cancel the seat allotted in the previous round.
