Schools in Delhi to Operate Fully Offline From April 1
Delhi government has announced that all schools will switch to a completely offline mode of learning from 1 April 2022.
As per the latest order, the Delhi government has announced that all schools will switch to a completely offline learning mode from 1 April 2022. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to formally announce the decision taken by DDMA or Delhi disaster management authority during the meeting held on Friday.
He tweeted: “Delhi disaster management authority (DDMA) has withdrawn all the previous restrictions as the situation improves and foremost people are facing hardships due to loss of jobs. Monetary penalties for not wearing masks are reduced to Rs 500. All should continue to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour. Govt will keep a strict watch.”
Delhi Schools to End the Hybrid Mode of Education
As earlier, the state government had allowed the resumption of offline classes for 9 to 12 on 7 February. However, nursery to class reopened from 18 February, but the hybrid method of education persisted, offering students a prospect to opt for offline or online classes. Due to significant improvement in the COVID- 19 situation and a drop in the positive cases in the national capital, DDMA has decided to reopen the schools offline completely.
Not only the government school but private schools in Delhi demanded the reopening of schools. The NPSC or National Progressive Schools Conference, which has over 120 nongovernment academies in Delhi as its constituents, has reported to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, expressing hybrid mode of education in schools as a hurdle in furnishing quality teaching and demanded the unconditional reopening of academies as soon as possible.
So, students should resume going to school. But, at the same time, schools should provide a healthy and safe environment to students by following the Covid protocols strictly to avoid further problems.
