NEET PG 2022 Live News: Supreme Court Dismisses Plea

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET PG 2022 exam is scheduled for 21 May 2022. Aspirants have been requesting the postponement of the NEET-PG examination due to a delay in the NEET PG 2021 counselling. Meanwhile, AIMSA has been rallying on the social media platform Twitter for the same. Many political leaders, including Tamil Nadu ruling party and INC leader Priyanka Gandhi, have also asked the Health Minister to postpone the NEET PG Exam. A petition has been filed in Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing in the matter.

Supreme Court Dismisses Plea

Today, the Supreme Court heard the NEET PG 2022 postponement plea as the aspirants have been demanding to defer the exam date by 8 weeks. The top court has dismissed the plea by saying that the postponement will create chaos and uncertainty and will impact patient care. As per the country’s top court, it will cause prejudice to over 2 lakh students who have prepared for the exam.

Supreme Court of India, SC has agreed to allow the listing of the plea to postpone the NEET PG 2022 examination. The matter would be heard by the bench led by Justice DY CHandrachud at 10:30 AM. Postpone NEET PG – IMA wrote to MoHFW

Indian Medical Association, IMA, has written to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, seeking postponement of the NEET PG 2022 examination. Listing the delays in the NEET PG exam and then counselling as the main concern, IMA has asked Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to postpone NEET PG Examination.

As of now, there is no revert on the plea to postpone NEET PG 2022 exam date. The National Board of Education, NBE, will be conducting the NEET-PG examination as planned on 21 May 2022. Also, the officials from Health Ministry and NBE refused to comment on the letters shared with them by various students.
