NEET Counselling 2022: MCC Adds 242 Extra MBBS Seats In Round 2 Check Details

NEET Counselling 2022: The Medical Counselling Committee has decided to add 242 more MBBS seats for NEET UG counselling 2022 round 1. The announcement was made a day after the MCC added 197 seats in NEET UG 2022 round 1 counselling. Further, the choice filling window for MCC NEET counselling 2022 UG was temporarily closed on Oct 18, 2022, owing to the addition of these seats.

NEET Counselling 2022: Colleges That Added MBBS Seats In Round 1

Here are the names of the colleges that have added MBBS seats in round 1 counselling:

1. ESIC Medical College & Hospital
2. Bihta
3. GMERS Medical College
4. Government Medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir
5. Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh

Per the official notice, “It has been decided to include the following MBBS seats in the seat matrix of Round-1 of UG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates. The freshly contributed seats are being added to the seat matrix." Therefore, 242 MBBS seats have been added to the seat matrix in the NEET counselling 2022. Furthermore, the conducting authorities at MCC clarified that before the start of NEET UG round-1 Counselling 2022, the medical colleges could not contribute information on new seats. Additionally, they reasoned that the reason was that the LoPs from NMC were received only on Oct 17, 2022.
