CAT 2022 Likely to Be Conducted by IIM Bangalore: Notification on July 31
IIM Bangalore likely to conduct CAT 2022 after a gap of five years. Online registration and exam dates will be announced soon.
Usually, one of the top five IIMs conducts the CAT exam after a gap of five years. IIM Bangalore previously conducted the CAT in 2016. Thus, it is expected that IIM Bangalore will conduct CAT 2022. The exam is held for the MBA/PGDM programmes offered by the 20 IIMs and more than 1,200 MBA institutions in India.
The authorities will also release the registration and exam details along with the notification. Registration is expected to begin from the first week of August and will go on till the third week of September. The admit card will be released in mid-October.
IIM Ahmedabad conducted the CAT exam last year. They altered the exam pattern, and each section’s number of questions decreased. However, the exam’s level of difficulty remained high.
Registration Highlights of CAT 2022
Key highlights related to the exam are given below:
- The application form will be available on the official website – iimcat.ac.in.
- You can only fill out the form online.
- CAT application process includes these steps- registration, form filling and payment of fees
- The application fee for the general category is Rs 2200 and Rs 1100 for the reserved category.
- A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any stream from a university is the minimum requirement for filling out the CAT application.
- Students in the General category must have a minimum of 50%, while those in the Reserved category must have a minimum of 45%
- Students in their final year of study may also apply.
- Aadhar or another acceptable form of identification, a current passport-size photo, a scanned copy of the signature, and a category certificate are all required.
