Samacheer Kalvi, also known as Tamil Nadu Uniform System of School Education or Equitable education system, is a school education department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The program helps integrate the various educational institutions within the state in India. Over 1.2 crore students in the four-stream of education consist of approximately 450000 state board schools,110000 matriculation schools, 25 oriental schools, and 50 Anglo Indian schools with various books, syllabus, and examinations.
The primary requirement for this system was to teach school students a uniform study, removing the discriminations among the CBSE student or Government school students. A uniform dress code was introduced to motivate this system to lessen the differentiation among the students from various classes and varying household incomes.
The School Education Department of Tamil Nadu recently revised the syllabus from 1st to 12th to increase students' proficiency in thoroughly preparing for these examinations. The minister of school education, sports, and welfare initiated this change by working closely with the Government to bring forward the Samacheer Kalvi textbooks for class 12th.
