What To Do After AIBE 20 Exam? Learn Your Next Steps

On November 30, 2025, the Bar Council of India conducted the AIBE 20 Exam 2025. The exam was pen and paper-based. If you clear the exam, you will be provided with a certificate of practice by BCI. What to do after the AIBE 20 Exam? 

Once you have taken your AIBE 20 exam, your next steps are mentioned below: 

Check the answer key on the official website.

After the exam, BCI will release the answer key on the official website. You can visit the website and download the answer sheet. It will help you to know how you have performed in the exam. To get the answer key, you need to visit the AIBE official website and press "AIBE 20 Provisional answer key". Enter your registration numbers and date of birth to log in. You will find the answer key on the screen. 

Wait for the result 

After you have compared your answers with the provisional answer key, you need to wait for the result declaration by the BCI. AIBE 20 results will be declared after 1 month of the exam. To check the result, you need to go to the official website of AIBE and press the "AIBE 20 Result" option. Enter your roll number and birthdate, and you will find the result card on your screen. The result card will show whether you pass or fail. You will not get any rank; it is just a qualifying exam. The minimum passing marks for general/OBC candidates are 40% and for SC/ST candidates are 35%. 

What to do if you have passed the AIBE 2025? 

If you have passed AIBE 025, you have touched a great milestone in your career. Now, you have to obtain your certificate of practice. After clearing the exam, you are eligible to apply for CoP from BCI. You can apply for the COP at your state bar council. The process may vary from state to state, but the document requirements are the same for all.

Once the verification is done successfully, the Bar Council will issue your certificate of practice. It will allow you to practice law in India. Here are the prices to get your COP:

The Certificate of Practice (COP) is easily available on the official website of BCI after your document verification. You can download it from there. 

Offline Mode

You can also get your COP from the state bar council. Carry the necessary documents with you to the state bar council, such as AIBE 20 result copy, Enrollment certificate, ID proof, and a passport-size photograph. 

Start Practicing Law

After receiving your COP, you can start pressing the law. You can appear in courts, tribunals, etc, in India. You can join a senior advocate, start your independent practice, join a law firm, or prepare for the judicial service or government exams.
