TS EAMCET Registration 2026: Eligibility Criteria, Documents Required

The TS EAMCET registrations started on Feb 19, 2026 in the official website at eapcet.tgche.ac.in. If you are planning to apply for the TS EAMCET 2026 exam today, you're ahead of about 60% of students who'll wait until late March and then scramble due to portal issues.

Remember, during TS EAMCET registration, the fee payment happens first, not last and the photograph size limits are absurdly strict. All the documents mentioned by the authorities including the 10+2 marksheets should be uploaded in the required format. 

There won’t be any application correction window and hence it is highly recommended to take handle this step with caution. Let's walk through this properly so you don't end up being one of the students emailing the helpdesk in a panic three days before the exam.

TS EAMCET Registration Date 2026

The official registration window runs from February 19, 2026 through April 4, 2026. In previous years, there used to be a late fee window where you could still apply after the deadline if you paid extra. The 2026 notification doesn't mention one which means April 4, 2026 might genuinely be the hard cutoff this time. The TS EAMCET exam dates are given below:

• Agriculture & Pharmacy stream: May 4 and 5
• Engineering stream: May 9, 10, and 11

Both happen as computer-based tests, two shifts per day. Morning slot runs 9 AM to noon while the afternoon runs 3 PM to 6 PM. You don't get to pick your shift, that gets assigned when your TS EAMCET hall ticket 2026 comes out, usually mid to late April, 2026

Who's Allowed to Apply for TS EAMCET 2026?

You can't just show up with a Class 12 marksheet and register for the TS EAMCET exam. The conducting authorities have domicile rules that disqualify a surprising number of students who assume they're eligible.

The residency requirement: Either you studied in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh for at least four consecutive years leading up to your qualifying exam, or your parents are domiciled there. If your family moved to Hyderabad when you were in 11th standard and you only did the last two years of schooling in Telangana, you're probably not eligible under local quota rules. Check this carefully before paying the fee, because the fee once paid will not be refunded.

Educational qualification: You need to have passed or be appearing for Class 12 from a recognized board. Alternatively, if you've completed a diploma from SBTET Telangana, that works too. A lot of students don't realize the diploma route exists, but it does, and those candidates compete in the same pool.

Subject combinations: For Engineering, you need Physics and Maths compulsory. The third subject can be Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a technical vocational subject. Most students have Chemistry, but if you took Computer Science or Electronics instead, you're still fine as long as you had Physics and Maths.For Agriculture & Pharmacy, it's Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Biotechnology. 

Age: There isn't an age limit. If you're 17 or 27 and you meet the other criteria, you can apply.

How to Apply for TS EAMCET Exam 2026?

TS EAMCET makes you pay before you fill the form. Most exams do it the other way around. This confuses people every year, so let's be clear upfront.

You start by paying the fee.

Go to eapcet.tsche.ac.in. Click the payment link. Enter your basic info such as name, date of birth, phone number, and email address. Once this is done, you can go ahead with the fee payment. Given below is the TS EAMCET registration fee details:

• INR 800 if you're a boy in General category
• INR 400 if you're a girl in General category
• INR 400 for SC/ST candidates regardless of gender

You can pay through card, net banking, or UPI. Once the payment goes through, you get a transaction ID. Screenshot that confirmation page. Save the PDF if the portal generates one. If something glitches and your payment registers but the portal doesn't move forward, that receipt is the only proof you have.

How to Fill the TS EAMCET Application Form?

After payment, the portal redirects you to the form. If your browser crashes or you close it by accident, come back later using the "Continue Application" option and your transaction ID.

The form itself asks for the usual things:

• Full name exactly as it appears on your SSC certificate
• Date of birth as per SSC
• Gender, category, sub-caste if applicable
• Parent or guardian details
• Addresses including permanent and communication
• Mobile number and email 
• Your 10th standard details including board name, hall ticket number, passing year
• Your 12th details or diploma details
• Exam center preferences - pick three in order of priority

Make sure the name you enter must match your 10th certificate character for character. If your certificate says "Mohammed" and you write "Muhammad," that's a mismatch. If there's a typo on your 10th certificate itself and this happens more often than you'd think, you need to get that corrected at the board level before applying, or you'll have verification issues later.

What Are the Document Required for TS EAMCET Registration 2026?

While applying for TS EAMCET 2026 exam, you need two files:

• A recent photograph in passport size, JPEG format, white background, file size between 10 KB and 50 KB
• Your signature in JPEG format, done on white paper with black ink, file size between 5 KB and 20 KB

The file size restrictions are absurdly specific. If your photo comes out at 52 KB, the system rejects it. You'll need to compress it using an online tool. There are free ones, just search "compress JPEG" and use any of the top results.

How to Select the TS EAMCE Exam Centre and Stream?

Choose Engineering or Agriculture & Pharmacy in the dropdown provided based on your eligibility. If you want to apply for both, you pay separately and fill two forms.

Then pick your exam centers. You get to choose three in order of preference. The system tries to assign your first choice, but if that center is full, you get your second or third.

Here's something you need to consider before choosing the exam centre. If you live in Secunderabad and you select a center in Ranga Reddy thinking "it's all Hyderabad metro," you're setting yourself up for a two-hour commute on exam day through traffic that doesn't care about your exam schedule. Pick centers you can actually reach without stress.

How to Submit the TS EAMCET Application Form 2026?

Before you submit, the portal shows you a preview of everything. Read through it and check your name spelling, verify your date of birth and make sure your phone number doesn't have a typo. Once you hit submit, some fields become permanently locked.

After submission, you get an application number. Download the confirmation, print it and have a PDF backup because you'll need that number to download your hall ticket later.

What You Can Edit During TS EAMCET Application Correction?

A few weeks after TS EAMCET registration closes, JNTU opens a correction window. During that period, you can edit most things including address, email, phone number, exam center preference and category details. But certain fields are locked forever:

• Your name
• Your father's name
• Your date of birth
• Your SSC hall ticket number
• The stream you chose

If you entered any of these wrong, you cannot fix it through the portal. Your only option is to email the helpdesk with scanned proof documents and hope they process the manual correction before the exam. So before you click submit, triple-check those fields.

How to Avoid the Common Errors During TS EAMCET Registration?

There are some common mistakes that students make every year. We have added those below so that you can avoid such errors while registering for TS EAMCET:

The photo isn't JPEG. People upload PNG files or PDFs and then wonder why the system keeps rejecting it. Convert it to JPEG first.

The signature is scanned from a document instead of freshly done. Take a blank white sheet. Sign on it with a black pen. Scan or photograph it cleanly. That's what they want.

Choosing exam centers randomly. You think Hyderabad is Hyderabad, but traveling from one end to the other on exam day when you're already anxious is a bad experience. Pick the closest center first.

Waiting till the last day and applying on April 3 or 4. The portal slows to a crawl in the final days. Apply in March.

Not saving the payment receipt. If there's a glitch and your money goes through but the portal doesn't register it, that receipt is your only evidence. Keep it.

What Happens After You Register?

Once registration closes, JNTU processes applications and releases admit cards about three weeks before the exam. Your admit card will have your roll number, exact exam center location, your reporting time, and a list of things you can and cannot bring into the exam hall. Download it using your application number and date of birth. Print it out and don't rely on showing it on your phone.

One new thing this year: the portal will show you a provisional score immediately after you finish your exam. This is based on the preliminary answer key, so it's not your final rank or percentile, but it gives you an instant sense of how you did instead of waiting weeks in suspense. Use that score to start planning your counselling preferences early.

TS EAMCET Registration Checklist 2026

Before you start applying for the TS EAMCET exam, make sure you have the following ready to avoid any hassle:

• Your SSC/10th certificate to verify exact name spelling and date of birth
• Your Class 12 hall ticket or marksheet
• A recent passport-size photo saved as JPEG, white background and 10-50 KB
• Your signature on white paper, scanned as JPEG and 5-20 KB
• A working debit card, credit card, or UPI setup for fee payment
• A valid mobile number and email address you actually check
