Pearl Academy Introduces Postgraduate Diploma in Management [PGDM] to its Professional Course List

Pearl Academy has recently added Postgraduate Diploma in Management [PGDM] to its curriculum. Pearl Academy PGDM is an AICTE approved two-year full-time course specially created to inculcate leadership skills in the students. At present, PGDM will be offered at Pearl Academy's Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai campuses only.

This programme will help the students to learn how to efficiently adapt to the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous nature of the corporate environment. Students benefit from the thoroughly organized programme in the following ways:

The PGDM programme is a professional course. Thus, it also aims at building interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, conflict management, decision making, diversity management and communication skills in the students.

Pearl Academy PGDM Details

According to the faculty of pearl academy, "The PGDM methodology and curriculum are meant to help students enhance their abilities by allowing them to apply management theories and concepts to real-world company and industry situations." The focus is on student learning and honing their ability to apply concepts and theories to everyday business situations.

Lectures, seminars, case studies, assignments, and various fun-yet-interactive methods such as group discussions, live projects, business games, field visits for experiential learning activities, role plays, educational excursions, simulation exercises, and structured & unstructured group work are just a few examples of how education is delivered.

The curriculum is updated regularly, based on feedback from industry professionals, to ensure that it continues to represent contemporary business demands. Along with this, a 32-week core curriculum in general management is required of first-year PGDM students.

This PGDM program has specializations too. According to the course curriculum, students will be allowed to take elective courses to specialize in one of the following areas:

• Entrepreneurship, Start-up and Family Business
• Digital Business and E-commerce
• Business Analytics and Data Science
• Marketing and Communication

Pearl Academy PGDM Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline with at least 50% grades or comparable CGPA. Candidates in their final year/ semester of a degree programme are also eligible to apply if they meet the eligibility as mentioned above conditions.

Candidates who have taken the CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, MAT, or GMAT will be automatically shortlisted for the interview procedure. To apply, students must have a 50 percentile or higher score in CAT/ 50 percentile or higher score in XAT/ 400 marks in GMAT/ 60 percentile in CMAT/ 60 percentile in MAT/ 60 percentile in NMAT.

The Pearl Academy General Proficiency Test (GPT) is available to those who haven't taken any national exam. The deadline to apply for Pearl Academy admission is September 6, 2021.

Pearl Academy PGDM Fee Structure and Selection Process

The selection will be based on the GPT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT score, followed by the personal interview. Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited to personal interviews at the Pearl campus in Bangalore/ Delhi – South/ Mumbai, based on GPT performance or national level examination scores. The date of the interview is September 14, 2021. 

The course fee is INR 10 lakhs for the two years (4 semesters) program. 2.5 lakhs per semester Introductory scholarship of 25% on tuition fee for founding batch for 1st year.
