NMAT Exam 2025: Additional Exam Phase Ongoing, Check Details

The NMAT additional exam phase registration commenced on Jan 5, 2026. The last date to apply for the same was Jan 10, 2026. The exam is being held on Jan 13-17, 2026. Students who could not attempt the three takes can take the January session exam. They must book their exam slots as per their choice. The NMAT exam fee for an additional window is INR 3000.

Students must note that the ones who have completed their three attempts between Nov 5 to Dec 19, 2025, are not eligible to apply for the additional window.

How to Register for NMAT 2025? Application Process & Fees Details

The initial step in the procedure is to complete the NMAT 2025 application form. Only applicants who complete the application form and schedule the exam will be granted an NMAT 2025 admit card. The NMAT registration procedure is available online, and candidates must generate a login ID and password to complete it. You must pay an application fee of INR 3,000 (excluding GST) and reserve an exam time.

• Step 1: Go to the official website.
• Step 2: Click on the registration page and press "Register."
• Step 3: You will see the new registered user page, where you will enter personal information such as name, country, mobile number, email ID, etc., and then select a password. Be sure the quality is good for all details you selected, and when you are finished, click the submit button.
• Step 4: If your form is submitted correctly, a 'Registration Confirmation' email will be sent to the email ID you submitted form above.
• Step 5: The email ID submitted will be the user ID, and use this application form to log in to log into the official website.
• Step 6: Once you have logged in correctly, go to the 'My Dashboard' page to access the photo upload, registration form, payments, and receipts.
• Step 7: Click on 'add photo', and you will be asked to upload a pre-scanned picture according to the specifications given.
• Step 8: After uploading the photo, click on 'Access My Form.' Please fill in all personal information required in the Access My Form tab, including contact info, education, work experience, and school preferences.
• Step 9: Click on the checkbox to agree to all terms and conditions after reading the terms and conditions.
• Step 10: After hitting submit, you will receive a unique NMAT by GMAC registration number on the screen, and be sure to note down this number.
• Step 11: You can then proceed to pay the NMAT form fee via the available payment method.

NMAT Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting body has defined the NMAT 2025 eligibility criteria, which are shown below. Before registering for the NMAT, you must meet certain qualifying conditions.

• You must have finished graduation under the 10+2+3 or four years of study pattern in any stream.
• Secured not less than 50% aggregate in the last year of graduation.
• Candidates awaiting results or in their last year of graduation are also able to enroll for the NMAT 2025. Admission is provided temporarily until the graduation mark sheet and certificate from the qualifying examination are submitted.

NMAT Exam Scheduling 2025

GMAC performs NMAT within a predetermined timeframe. After submitting the application form, you can schedule your exam. You must enter a date and test city into the exam scheduling box to take the exam. Only applicants who have scheduled the NMAT test will be eligible to take it.  Exam scheduling is available through the NMAT login dashboard.

NMAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2025

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has released the NMAT exam pattern. The NMAT test structure requires applicants to answer up to 108 questions in 120 minutes. All three sections of the NMAT, namely, Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning, carry an equal number of questions (36).

NMAT 2025 will be administered as both a computer-based exam (CBT) and an internet-based test (IBT), allowing applicants to take the test from home in an online, remotely proctored way.  However, the IBT feature is only available to applicants who take the test outside of India.

What is the NMAT 2025 Selection Process?

The NMAT selection process continues with the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI) phase, which is conducted by the participating institutes. In addition to the traditional GD round, the participating institute may choose to conduct a WAT (Writing Ability Test) or Case Discussion (CD) round. The ultimate admission decision is based on the combined results of the NMAT online test and the GD-PI round.
