INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RECENT ADVANCES IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LPU organized an International Conference on 14th and 15th April 2017. The honorable Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, Mr. Ashok Mittal graced the event with his presence as the Chief Guest. More than 132 papers were submitted, not only from India but also other countries like France.
A Global Platform for the Scientists, Researchers, Academicians, Industrialists and Students in the Field of Mechanical Engineering
The papers submitted are going to be published in the Scopus Indexed Journals.Experts from various different countries such as South Korea, Australia, US, Hongkong, and Iran comprised the technical committee presiding over the conference. Reviewers and National Advisers consisted of renowned professors from various different IIT's and NIT's. These professors provided their valuable input. The aim of the conference was to provide a global platform for the Scientists, Researchers, Academicians, Industrialists and Students in the field of Mechanical Engineering so that the research done is noticed and it helps in the advancement of technology.
Highlights of the Conference
Dr.Lovi Raj Gupta who gave the welcome speech focused on how to bring in products from Mechanical Engineering. Prof. Nishant Sharma, Associate Professor, IIT Bombay explained what could be achieved with the limited resources available. I. V. Rao, Executive Advisor, Maruti Udhyog Limited, insisted on how students have to upgraded from college level to corporate level. Prashant Dhawan, Co-founder, Biomimicry India Network delivered a speech on how exploring the new avenues of technology. The conference consisted of 8 technical sessions spread over 2 days. The students got an insight on the success stories for many of national and international experts present at the conference.
