IMI Delhi started the application process on January 3, 2021, and the closing date is Jan 27, 2021. A common online application form is introduced for IMI Admission for all the Two-year full-time PGDM programs namely, PGDM, PGDM-HRM, and PGDM-B&FS. Post-CAT 2020 result declaration, IMI New Delhi had reopened its application process for admission 2021 to facilitate the candidates who could not apply earlier in time. The last chance to apply for admission closes on January 27, 2021, and no further extension in the last date is expected.

IMI New Delhi offers 2 years of full-time AICTE approved PGDM, PGDM-HR, PGDM BFS programs. IMI Admission is based on CAT exam score and the B-school will shortlist the candidates for the final selection round on the basis of CAT 2020 score, in a ratio of more than 1:10 for all the three PGDM programs.
IMI was the first B-school to open its admission process for PGDM 2021-23. The application fee is Rs. 2200/- + GST @ 18%. IMI New Delhi Admission Process
IMI Application form has to be submitted online only. IMI New Delhi does not accept Admission applications off-line. Applicants should complete the online application form and submit it along with the admission application fee, which is non-refundable. Key points to note in the IMI Application process are:

- Candidates seeking admission to various PGDM programs 2021 at IMI Delhi should apply to IMI New Delhi separately and should also appear in CAT 2020.
- Applications complete in all respects, including application processing fees, should be submitted online. Incomplete forms are liable to be rejected summarily.
Steps to IMI Delhi Admission
- Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear and score the minimum required percentile in CAT 2020
- Step 2: Candidates should register and apply for admission to IMI New Delhi by the last date
- Step 3: Candidates are short-listed for Individual Assessment Round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2020 score, who have applied for admission to IMI New Delhi, and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the program
- Step 4: Final selection round will be held at Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. Candidates should indicate their first and second preference of the interview center in the application form. If a candidate’s preferred center is not allotted, for any reason, the candidate will be informed of the change.
- Step 5: After the Individual Assessment round, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates. Admission offer will be based on a composite score that arrived after the assessment has been made during the various stages of the selection process. The result will be announced through an Admission Portal and will be notified on the IMI, Delhi Website. Offer letters will be sent to the mailing address provided in the application form as also by email. While applying online, applicants should provide their complete postal address and active email ID which should be valid up to 30th July 2021 for receiving important communications.
IMI New Delhi Application Fee
IMI application fee to be paid by the applicant is INE 2200 and 18% GST. This application fee is applicable for anyone applying to the two-Year PGDM Programs of IMI New Delhi or IMI New Delhi plus IMI Kolkata and/or IMI Bhubneswar. Accordingly, if anyone applying to IMI New Delhi and wishes to apply for IMI Kolkata and/or IMI Bhubaneswar, he/she can do so without any extra cost. However, an additional amount of INR 500 per program is to be paid if the candidate applies for more than one PGDM program at IMI New Delhi
The admission application fee can be paid through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Bank Transfer or designated payment gateway. No receipts should be sent to IMI New Delhi’s Admission Office directly in any case.
IMI New Delhi Eligibility
To meet the IMI New Delhi PGDM/PGDHRM/PGDM-B&FS eligibility criteria, the candidate must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's the degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by IMI New Delhi and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination latest by September 30, 2021.
Apart from a recognized graduate degree, the candidate should appear in CAT 2020 exam and must score a minimum cut off score in the entrance exam to become eligible for admission
Candidates with Foreign Nationality are also eligible, based on their GMAT scores, provided they have taken the GMAT test not earlier than January 2019 and not later than 20th January 2021.
IMI New Delhi Shortlisting
IMI New Delhi Admission Criteria is a two-step process involving the preliminary screening and shortlisting criteria and the Final selection Criteria with varying weightage to various components including CAT exam score and Individual Assessment.
- IMI New Delhi Shortlisting Criteria
The first part of IMI New Delhi Admission criteria is its shortlisting criteria for the final selection round. A candidate will be shortlisted by IMI New Delhi if he/she meets the following shortlisting criteria:
- IMI New Delhi will shortlist the Candidates on the basis of information provided in the application form, CAT scores or GMAT score, educational background, marks in 10th, 12th, graduation, and work experience, if any
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process
- Mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IMI, New Delhi. IMI, New Delhi will not entertain any correspondence on this subject, and decisions of the IMI Admissions Committee will be final in all matters
- Final Admission Selection Criteria
- All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the final selection round for admission to IMI New Delhi
- Final Selection 2021 is based on the Individual Assessment round at IMI New Delhi which will have components like Essay Writing and Personal Interview
- Final Admission offer at IMI New Delhi will be based on Past academic performance in graduation, class XII & X, Individual Assessment, quality of work experience, and extracurricular activities
- The overall objective is to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
