In the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme Phase III meeting held at Noida on Thursday, state universities representatives and 70 private colleges were asked to encourage students to participate in Smart India Hackathon 2018.
The engineering students in Noida and Ghaziabad are asked to participate in "Smart India Hackathon 2018" by Dec 15 which provides students to exhibit their knowledge and valuable inputs to the "Digital India" initiative.
Second Revision of Digital Initiative:
This event is the second revision of Digital Initiative where thousands of techies will be directly engaged with 45 ministries and their respective departments to challenge them to create digital solutions, provide efficiency, plug revenue leakages and corruption.
Dr Vinay Pathak, vice chancellor of AKTU (Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Techinal University), said that he will engourage all students of AKTU affliated institutes to apply for the Hackathon competition and showcase their talent at the national level. Institues are advised to share the details of the event with the students.
Eligible students:
- The students from a AICTE/UGC- recognised college who are pursuing a technical course are eligible to apply for Smart India Hackathon 2018 contest.
- The last date to apply for the contest is 15th December.
- The competing group must contain six students from the same organisation.
- The winner will be awarded with the cash price of Rs 1 Lakh and the runner-up team will be awarded with the cash price of Rs 75,000 and the third winning group will be awarded Rs 50,000.
