CUET Exam 2026 Detailed Exam Pattern

Section IA	It is a language paper conducted for 13 languages. You can select only one specific language. Each language consists of 50 questions in total. In this section your linguistic and reading comprehension skills are checked.
Section IB	It consists of special language tests (those excluded from section IA). It consists of 50 questions. In this your language is tested through a reading comprehension method. It consists of some factual RCs, Narrative RCs, Vocabulary RCs, etc.
Section II	It consists of domain-specific subjects, 23 in total. You can choose around 5 domain-specific subjects. There will be a total of 50 questions. The questions will be objective in nature. The syllabus is the same as Class XII.
Section III	It consists of general test papers. There are a total of 50 questions. The general test is weighted for dropped subjects. It consists of questions from General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, and many more.
