JEE Main 2023 Exam Dates
JEE Main 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted as multiple sessions, in different shifts on each date. The session 1 exam will be conducted on Jan 24, 25, 28 (2nd shift only), 29, 30, 31, and Feb 1, 2023, and the session 2 exam will be conducted from Apr 6 - `12, 2023.

Why is JEE Main Conducted for 6 Days?
NTA and HRD Ministry decided to conduct the JEE Main exam on multiple dates, as different sessions, for two main reasons. The reasons are as follows.

Computer-Based Online Test
Since JEE Main 2023 is conducted online as a computer-based test, it is not easy to accommodate all the applicants in the same exam centre as numerous candidates apply for the exam every year. To make it easy, the exam dates and sessions are split.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols
As mentioned earlier, a large number of students apply to appear for JEE Main exam. Hence, conducting the exam on multiple dates makes it easy to maintain social distancing and follow other COVID-19 safety protocols.
