GATE 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted on Feb 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023, and IIT Kanpur has released the exam day guidelines that must be followed by the candidates along with the admit cards.

IIT Kanpur has established certain instructions that must be followed by the candidates appearing for GATE 2023 Exam. Following are the important instructions for the exam.

Candidates must reach the exam centre minimum of 60 minutes before the exam time to complete the verification process. No candidates may enter the test room after 9:30 am, and no one may leave the room before the exam.

Along with GATE 2023 admit cards, candidates must carry a valid photo ID. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit cards. In addition, they must have taken a printout of the admit card on an A4 sheet.

Candidates must not have forbidden items like electronic devices/gadgets, paper, textbooks, etc. If they are found with the forbidden items, candidates will be disqualified. If required, the management will provide rudimentary computation papers.

For numerical computations, candidates will be provided with a virtual or on-screen calculator. They are not permitted to carry their calculators as a result.

Candidates must be seated before the exam begins and carefully follow the instructions. They must follow the invigilators' instructions and co-operate with them for the verification process.
