 About Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship for MBA in Japan (All India)
  • Japanese Government Invites applications for Young Leader’s Program for Business Administration at Hitotsubashi University, Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy located in Tokyo, Japan.  
  • For the candidates to be eligible for the Japanese Government Scholarship for MBA, a student should have a graduation degree with excellent academic record along with a GMAT Score of 600.
  • The candidates also need 3 years of working experience in any reputed organization which is a member of CII or FICCI.
  • The candidates selected for the scholarship will be exempted from Entrance Examination Fee, Matriculation Fee and Tuition Fee in addition to it a monthly allowance of approx. 1.45 lakh INR will be offered to the selected candidates.
  • The application forms for the scholarship can be obtained from the content mentioned toward the end and the last date for making application is October 31, 2018.

If students are not selected in this Scholarship program but are interested in the one year MBA then they can also come as a company-sponsored student or as a self-funded candidate.

 Details
  • Nationality: Indian Citizens are allowed to apply for the scholarship.
  • Age Limit: The applicant needs to be younger than 35 years as on September 2019 i.e. born on or after September 02, 1984.
  • Academic Qualification: Applicant should be a graduate in order to be eligible for making application for the scholarship.
  • Experience: The applicant should have 3 years of minimum experience in an active member organization of CII or FICCI.
  • Qualifying Examination: The candidate should have scored at least 600 marks in GMAT examination.
 Reward Description

Japanese Government Scholarship for Business Administration Rewards:

The candidates selected for the award of the scholarship will be waived off from the institutional fees. Complete details related to the Scholarship benefits are:

  • Number of scholarships: Out of the applications received, only 2 candidates will be selected for the award of the scholarship.
  • Duration of the Fellowship: The scholarship will be offered for a period of 12 months i.e. September 2018 to August 2019.
  • Offered Institution: The applicant will get MBA degree from Hitotsubashi University, Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy.
  • Monthly Grant: The candidates will get as a monthly allowance of approx. 1.45 lakh INR during the fellowship.
  • Travel Expenses: The selected fellow will get an economy class air ticket from the international airport nearest to the student’s hometown to Narita International Airport and back after the completion of the course.
  • School Fee: The candidates selected will be exempted from Entrance examination, Matriculation and Tuition Fee.
  • Accommodation: The candidates selected for the scholarship may be offered accommodation by Hitotsubashi University.

 Selection Process

For International Priority Graduate Program (PGP) Nominees:

Applicants to be nominated to MEXT will be selected by the Graduate School of Science. The grantees will be decided upon screening at MEXT.

For general nominees:

After nomination by the Graduate School of Science, nominees for the MEXT selection will be decided in a selection process for the entire University of Tokyo. After the University of Tokyo nominates its candidates, the grantees will be decided upon screening at MEXT.
