Sarim Mirza's Review on Manav Rachna University [MRU]

Our Institute has a vast network in the placement section. Many reputed companies come seeking fresh talent. Companies like TCS, Honda, IBM, Capgemini, Maruti Suzuki etc. arrive each year and hire a good percentage of students. Average salary ranges from INR 3-4 LPA and the highest salary has offered upto INR 32 LPA.

There are two on-campus hostels. One is a boys hostel, and the other is the girl's hostel. The hostels in Manav Rachna have a life of their own. I lived in the college hostel for a year, and I still remember those days. The hostel fees is INR 1.32 Lakhs per annum for a non-AC double sharing room, and there are various arrangements available for both AC and Non- AC rooms. The college has its own Subway for food, and there are several canteens with different food ranges.0

The infrastructure is best. The buildings and classrooms are in perfect condition. The classroom are centrally air-conditioned, and regular maintenance is done.

I gave the entrance exam for the Bachelor of Technology. I gave the JEE, Aligarh Muslim University Engineering entrance exam, MRNAT etc. Finally, I got selected in Manav Rachna University for a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. The experience so far has been great. The required criteria for admission in B.Tech is that a student must have 55% of marks in the senior secondary examination and must have passed all subjects.

The best thing about the university is its punctuality. If a class has to start at 9, then it starts at 9. There is no late entry allowed, and the professors are never late. Similarly, projects and assignments are also taken very severely and sticking to the deadline is necessary. The university has its own ERP portal on which assignments are scanned and uploaded, and the faculty gives marks according to them.

Exams are conducted in an orderly manner and on time. There is ample time given to study before exams. The faculty is excellent and dedicated. Students are friendly, and the environment is good. All in all, it is a great experience to study at this university.

The university provides scholarships. Firstly, a national level talent hunt examination is held in which a student can get upto 100% of the tuition fee waived. Also, scholarships are provided based on marks scored in the board examination. Many students avail these scholarships, but still many remain who can't get these. They have the option of taking education loans which are easily available from any of the leading banks.

My college focuses greatly on extracurricular and co-curricular activities. We have many clubs and societies such as drama society, music club, dance society, theatre etc. I joined the entrepreneurship development cell, which was formed just a few years ago. We have an annual cultural fest which lasts for three days. Many events are organised throughout the year by different societies. Students actively participate in various contests and events. The literary and arts society are a must-watch in the university. The main sports include cricket, football and basketball. Overall, it is the best life one can imagine.
