Thangavelu Engineering College has a very decent infrastructure. This college is located in Karapakkam, OMR road, Chennai.  All floors are equipped with restrooms and water facilities. Bus and mess facilities are available. It is not compulsory so one wants to take bus or mess we have to pay separately other than school fees. Laboratories are well furnished and maintained properly. Wifi are available throughout the campus. Library also available and one can also rent book. Overall it has a good infrastructure and it needs attention.

Thangavelu Engineering College is affiliated to Anna University and the admission procedure is as per Anna University norms. One can also join through management quota. After completing the 12th grade, one has to go for counseling for admission to Thangavelu Engineering College. Various courses are available in this college and the cutoff ranges between 100 to 150 marks.

Thangavelu Engineering College follows the curriculum of Anna University. Most of the staff are very friendly and they help each and every candidate for getting selected in placement and in their studies. Three exams were conducted before the semester exam. Students are given weekly assessments to check their knowledge. Overall here they provide very good academics.

Thangavelu Engineering College has a low fee structure comparing to other colleges in Chennai. Scholarships are available for meritorious students. Loans are not arranged by the college. A person who needs a loan is asked to take on their own risk.

Thangavelu Engineering College has a good diversity of students. Here the students' culture is not strict like other colleges and it is a friendly free campus. Many fests are taking place in this college like symposium, cultural, sports day, independence day, soil day, green day, etc are often celebrated on our college campus. Also, college is having societies like the National Cadet Corps, Youth Red Cross. Overall we had a great college life with lots of memories.
