Placements and Internships

Internship: There are several internships offered during vacations, but more importance is given to the training part; hence no stipend is provided. Few internship roles are Full Stack Development Internship, Machine Learning Internship, Ethical Hacking Internship, and many more.

The key companies that visit for campus placements are Cognizant, Daffodil, HSBC, IGT, Emicon, Jaro Education, Lido Learning, TCS, Rubico, Tech Mahindra, Mobilloitte, Hexaware, and many more.

The average salary offered is INR 4.5 lakhs per annum.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • Hostels: There are about 6 boys hostel and four girls hostel. Hostel fees is INR 65,000 per annum for a shared room and INR 75,000 per annum for a single room. Extra charges are there are AC rooms.
  • PGs: As the college is in a remote area on the highway connecting Roorkee and Haridwar, not many PGs are available, and the rate are also high compared to hostels (INR 90,000 per annum approx.)
  • Quality of classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi, and other key infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious with facilities for using projectors. Labs are well-equipped with essential devices and apparatus. Wi-Fi network is always available with a speed of about 1 MBps. The campus is lush green and free from pollution, with the total area is about 75 acres.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • B. Tech eligibility criteria are a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The candidate should have appeared in JEE, and admission will be based on JEE merit.
  • Yes, I took the JEE Entrance Examination.
  • The cutoff for computer science is that candidates should have a minimum of 85% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Academics and Faculty

  • The class timings starts from 9 am and ends at 5 pm.
  • The quality of teaching is good and the special attention is given to the digital mode of education.
  • My overall experience is great. It is a nice place to learn and enhance your skills.
  • Faculties are very supportive. There is a separate Do It Yourself (DIY) lab to promote real-world industry experience for the students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : COER (College of Engineering, Roorkee) is the best no. 1 college in Uttarakhand state with 90 per cent placement and the admission procedure is very easy and the criteria for taking CS as a branch is 75 per cent and if you have below 75 per cent you can get the IT branch as mostly visiting companies only demand for CS and IT students.
