Placements and Internships
- Internships that play a major role gaining corporate experience, especially for freshers.
- We were given internship offers in various fields of interest. Irrespective of the location offered, we were enthusiastic about getting an internship.
- A different experience away from and away from friends taught us a lot of lessons as a fresher. Good job offers from companies like Abbott, Talisma, Oracle,etc has given us the scope to move forward in our career.
- Our field of interests did not get jobs in the same field immediately but, patience is what helped our senior batches get placed.
- The contact with the alumni's of MYRA has indeed helped some people to get good networks with corporate people thus helping them moving forward in the career.
- For freshers, an average package of Rs 5 lakhs was offered.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- An amazing infrastructure and atmosphere are the first reason that attracted me join this institution.
- A calm and nice place which really provides a peace of mind to study.
- The library has a good collection of books which helps us to gain not just the academic knowledge but, general knowledge about the current happenings in and around the country.
- The classrooms, auditorium, library are all air conditioned which makes us feel comfortable even in summer.
- 24hrs wifi facility is available on the campus which is an add-on for us to learn as much as we can. The quality of food provided in the campus is good and healthy.
- Coming to housing, there is an option of either staying in the housing provided by the college or they can find their own housing.
- The housing is provided in a location 15mins away from the campus which is a residential area that is surrounded by supermarkets, hospitals, mall,etc.
- Transportation is provided by the college between hostel & campus which is very convenient for us.
Academics and Faculty
- A different curriculum where we study a subject for entire two weeks and then at the end of the second week we write an exam.
- This helps us to concentrate well in each and every subject & also gives a good understanding of the concepts well.
- The classes are interactive and filled with assignments. Assignments are the major source of learning that we get along with fun.
- Some assignments are to be done as teams and some as individual ones. This gives us an opportunity to involve with each and every member in the class.
- Teams are formed in such a way that we get know to know about the key strengths and weaknesses of almost every person in the class.
- We have PGPX's (Executive MBA) who have work experiences for 5 or more years.
- This helps us to think about one problem in different perspectives and arrive at more than one solution.
- Faculties come from different international B-schools has given us the chance of experiencing different styles of teaching from different faculties.
- Experiencing something different and new is just exciting about MYRA!
- We are also provided with a student exchange program. Here the students(5-7) who have top grades in year 1, are given the opportunity of pursuing 4-6 months of year 2 at the Catholica University, Lisbon, Portugal.
- This provides an amazing platform to experience a different learning and a different culture with a different set of students.
Fees and Scholarships
- A student aspiring to gain scholarship should have a clear SOP (Statement Of Purpose) regarding why he/she needs a scholarship.
- For a well explained & clear SOP along with a good academics has all the opportunities of getting a scholarship.
- Apart from this scholarship, a scholarship for the top ranking students who get to go to Catholica University is also provided.
Clubs and Associations
- Various clubs are happening at MYRA.
- MYRA Toastmasters is part of Toastmasters International which provides a platform to improve our public speaking. This club provides us to overcome stage fear, improve our public speaking as well as helps us improve our impromptu speech. We also have the MYRA Rotaract club which is a new club that was formed recently.
- As a part of this, a blood donation camp was organised on Oct 10, 2015. Apart from this, we have various clubs like the MRAr Debate Society, cultural club, Quiz club,etc. We organise festival celebrations as a part of the cultural club.
- The MYRA Debate Society had recently organised an inter-college debate competition where students from different colleges in Mysore particpated. We also had the MYRAGO - our first inter college fest that was conducted in Feb 2015.
- This fest created a memborable 2 days that was filled with fun, enjoyment and learning through various events and competitions.
- The most important part of college life is the farewell party and the graduation day.
- An amazing Farwell party with campfire in the wonderful amphitheatre was organized by us which were filled with memories and fun.
- The graduation day that happened on May9 2015 was the most awaited day which left some of them filled with tears at the same time with happiness. What else other than all this would be needed for a good education and career!
