Neelakshimbbs's Review on Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science & Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics

Mithibai College has a good placement structure for Commerce and Arts Students. I was the Placement Head of the Botany Department, and there were good companies that came to offer jobs and internships, namely, Zomato, Wipro, 9XM, TCS, etc. The college also has an annual 'Internship Mela' for all students. Mithibai College has a great bunch of Alumni: Ajay Devgn, Mohsin Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ekta Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker.

The college does not provide any hostel facilities. The private PG/Hostels are all around the college with amazing facilities. My Hostel costs 4.5 lacs per year with all the facilities, including three meals, WiFi, Washing Machine, AC, TV, Personal Washrooms, and good house staff. 
Mithibai has Mumba's largest canteen with all the cuisines at reasonable prices. An Indian cuisine meal starts with 40/-. 

The quality of the classrooms and the infrastructure of the college is well built, and fully Air Conditioned. The library has two sections, informal and formal. The informal includes all the novels and the reading area.

Mithibai College provides various courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce. Admissions to the respective courses are on the basis of Merit List of HSC's (Class 12th) marks for the Bachelors course, and for the Master's course, there are entrance examinations for the same. The eligibility criteria for every course is 50% in their HSC.

The forms came out in the month of May after CBSE announced the results. The admission procedure might be confusing for some. The procedure includes a Pre Online Admission Form which is filled out on Mumbai University's website for each course, and an Online Admission Form, which is filled out on each college's website. These forms are either submitted online, or some colleges work offline, which means the forms need to be submitted at the college desk itself.
The cut-offs for Art's courses go highest, then Commerce and then Science, with 4 to 5 Merit Lists.

The timings for each course are different. The college starts at 7 in the morning and goes on till the evening. Science courses have long practical hours, either in the morning or later in the evening. The college has extremely knowledgable staff and teachers. The college has also provided Smart Boards in every class, for virtual learning. My overall experience in college was very good, from learning experience to enjoying the experience. 

The college has a good and affordable fee structure. The college provides certain scholarships to girls, and defends candidates. There is no need for a loan. 

There are various clubs at Mithibai College. Some of them are the Mithibai Debate Society, Mithibai Drama Team, NSS, NCC(for boys), Mithibai Fashion Team, Mithibai Dance Club. 

The main festival of the college is Kshitij. It is a huge cultural fest, which is conducted every year in October/ November. Also, there is a Sports fest too like Yuva Hashtag.

Life at Mithibai College is a colorful journey. It not only provides learning but enjoyment too and good college life.
