1. CU is a record holder in Limca Book of Records as the university with the highest number of campus placements

2. Chandigarh University is the youngest university to have both NIRF ranking as well as, NAAC A+ grade accreditation which provides even more exposure to the students in terms of recruitment opportunities and internship facilities!!          

3. 240 Multi-nationals selected 3750 engineers during 2018-19

4. Companies offering 5 LPA or more salary package are 100+ with 650+ selections & companies offering 10 LPA or more salary package are 25+ with 100+ selections

5. 50+ MNCs among the Top 100 of India has made 500+ offers

6. Top Fortune 500 companies select engineering students in Campus Placements like, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, IBM, SAP Labs, Bank of America, Wipro etc.

7. 118 Core Engineering Companies select approximately 1097 students from various engineering branches

8. 100+ Common Companies visiting IITs, NIITs also recruit from CU like, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HITACHI, HCL, Mu Sigma, Virtusa etc.

Although I'm a day-scholar, I'll jot down whatever points I know about the hostels of CU:

1. There are about 7 hostels in total I guess, 5 in-campus hostels and 2 off-campus

2. Classic 4-seater non AC Girls & Boys hostel fee is Rs. 86000

3. Hostels are well equipped with gyms, free wi-fi, 24/7 power services, well furnished common rooms & reading rooms, canteens and food joints, convenience stores, saloon, visitors & guest rooms

4. PGs are in plenty and with affordable prices within the vicinity of the University campus

5. wi-fi free university campus with over 50-60 food joints having a variety of sweet and savory dishes to your liking

All in all, CU campus has state-of-the-art infrastructure!!

Teaching system is elaborate, detailed & advanced:

1. Well qualified professors who are PhD holders from esteemed institutions like IITs, NIITs etc are the assets of Chandigarh University

2. Lectures are delivered with the help of projectors which showcase presentations related to the subject alongside white board and markers so that, if the professor wants, he/she could illustrate his/her lecture that way.

3. Each lecture session is interactive. Surprise tests are taken, questions are asked at random.

4. Tut lectures (Tutorial sessions) are held to clear doubts of students.

5. Laboratories are well equipped with necessary instruments & machines.

6. International Nobel laureates are also invited to deliver lectures!!

7. Assignments are assigned before each MST (3 Mid Semester Tests each sem) in every semester & are designed such that it invokes and inculcates scientific and innovative thinking

8. Class timings range from 9:30 am to 4:20 pm

9. Choice based credit system

1. Chandigarh University, [CU] Chandigarh Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 1,60,000 per year.

2. You can apply for the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) which provides upto 100% scholarships to hardworking and sincere students. You can even avail scholarships worth Rs. 27 crores. 

3. COVID-19 WARRIORS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME has also been announced wherein, Chandigarh University provides scholarships worth Rs. 5 crores to the wards of corona virus warriors which includes--> doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, housekeeping staff at the hospitals, Police Personnels of all Indian states, Para military forces, media persons & sanitation workers. 10% seats have been reserved in all undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by Chandigarh University for wards of COVID-19 warriors. Students who are admitted under this category would even be eligible for 10% fee rebate throughout the entire tenure of the program. 

4. You can seek admission in CU along with a scholarship up to 100% by applying through the Merit-Based Scholarship Scheme designed for meritorious students who have achieved outstanding heights in their academics in their previous years

5. You can also apply for admission to CU through the Scholarship Scheme for wards of Defence Personnel

6. Loans are easily availed from any bank you favour and you can pay the fee either online on offline mode

1. Chandigarh University directly provides students with an opportunity to directly participate in India's top-notch competition facilitated by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU): AIU-Northzone and AIU-National Youth Festival where you can participate in any category be it, sports or arts. Auditions are held by faculties who have expertise in the particular field of extracurricular activities & students can apply for it once registration starts.

2. Our university fest- Aaghaaz is held every year from September-October for the freshers where they can showcase their talent on stage. Since I aspire to be an engineer alongside a singer, I had sung on my first day at Aaghaaz and never looked back since!!

3. Pratibha Talent Hunt show, a competition to present your vocal and dancing abilities

4.You can also part take in Punjab State Youth Fest in any category you want to!

5. Tech Invent is a technical event where you can showcase your innovative abilities!
