Placements and Internships
The placement records are exceptional. More than 600 companies visit campus placements at CU including top multinational companies like Microsoft, Google, Deloitte, IBM, HPE, Amazon, etc. CU has MOU's and tie-ups with international institutions which gives opportunities to avail for international internships. Many students of CU have also been selected as interns at Walt Disney, USA. The university has the highest package of Rs. 31.7 LPA, and average package of Rs. 5 LPA. The percentage of engineering branches getting placed is higher than in other branches. But, overall the university provides good placements and internships opportunities ad assures placements of maximum number of students.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
The college infrastructure and campus is huge and beautiful. It has smart classrooms, laboratories with new advanced technologies, auditorium, libraries, sport's court, on-campus hostels, free 24 hrs WIFI, Open Theatre, cafeteria, and food courts like Domino's, Subway, etc. The campus and hostels are clean and maintained well also the food served are healthy and hygienic. The hostels include all required facilities like tuck shops, salon, gym, study rooms, common TV room, playground and everything which makes it fully residential for the students.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
CUCET is a common entrance test which is organized by the university. If one is unable to apply for the exam, then the required eligibility criteria are considered to avail for a course. The admission procedure is quite easy, one can register himself either online or offline.
Academics and Faculty
The university follows an industry-led course curriculum and focuses on practical and experiential learning. The faculties are well experienced and trained, and uses smart technologies to provide quality education. There are a bunch of assignments to be submitted and an internal exam conducted every month, a mandatory 75% attendance need to be kept, which is necessary and beneficial to the students fro being active and focused in their academics.
Fees and Scholarships
The fee structure is affordable and less than other engineering colleges. There are many scholarship programs offered by the university and also education loans to help the students financially. Scholarships based on CUCET, Merit-based, wards of defense personnel, sports scholarship, Covid19 Warriors scholarship scheme, and many other scholarship options are available to the students.
Clubs and Associations
There are societies and clubs on campus like Adventure club, Dance club, Theatre, etc. Inter-university Tech Fest, Youth Fest, inter-department competitions, occasional musical nights, and cultural events are held on the campus which are really fun and interesting.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : This is true that anyone can get into CU. Getting into CU is not a tough job but to remain in CU is tough. CU is really strong in its disciplinary grounds and manages a very strong student care forum. Examinations are conducted very seriously and only eligibles are promoted. Any student having a 60% or above in their 10+2 can get into CU and for reserved categories, it is 5% less. CU does not have any entrance examination. It conducts an examination known as CUCET prior to admission for scholarship purposes. the admission procedure is very simple and online. Online and offline admission forms are available which needs to be filled and after the first-semester payment is done, admission is completed. No cutoff as such. For Btech courses the student must have PCMB in their 10+2.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The elebility criteria for getting into CU is not that hard to meet. It only needs the student to acquire a 65% or above in their 10+2 for general students and for reseerved catagories the criteria gets redeemed by 5%. 1) Btech in CSE/ECE/Civil/Mechanical/mechatronis require PCB in 10+2 whereas BE in biotech or foodtech doesn't have any such criteria as it can be PCB or PCM or PCMB. From this year chandigarh universiy has arranged for a common entrace test which is applicable for scholarship purposes.(CUCET) To avail merit based scholarships student must attempt CUCET prior to admission. 2) There is no entrance examination. CUCET( chandigarh university common entrance test) is conducted by the university only for students willing to take up scholarships. 3) Typical cutoff for any course is 65% or above in 10+2 for general category and 55% for reserved catagories.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : For admission we need to clear either cucet or jee mains for engineering. One should be qualified in 12th boards with atleast 50% . I had given jee mains as an entrance test. It depends on the number of students appearing in the exam.
