Placements and Internships

FMS, Delhi is one of the best business schools in the country and gets most of the best job offers available in the country, Only a few roles/offers are limited to the top 3 IIMs (A, B, C) but apart from that you will get a chance to be a part of the best companies. Special call out to the placement offers in Marketing roles - FMS is generally known to be really strong in terms of marketing job offers. FMS, Delhi is a great deal of history and legacy attached to it and therefore enjoys a well-established alumni network, many of whom are bigwigs in the business world. There is an Alumni meet organized every year (generally in December), while smaller events for individual batches are also interspersed through out the year.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

The infrastructure is not the strong point of FMS, and the classrooms/facilities are fairly ordinary - not like some of the new business schools which have world class infrastructure (but obviously you have to foot the bill through the high fees) FMS has great connectivity in terms of public transport and there are no real issues regarding that.

Academics and Faculty

3.5

FMS, Delhi is one of the top business schools in India and has a strong legacy. However, it is important to note that the curriculum is not very rigorous, especially since they don't use the relative grading system. Classes are mostly between 9 am - 4 pm although there may be extra classes/guest lectures beyond usual hours if the need arises. FMS, Delhi is part of the University of Delhi and like all institutes has a broad range of faculty ranging from the fascinating to the tedious. Special call out to the Marketing faculty who are known to be one of the best in the business.

Fees and Scholarships

4

The overall academic fees for Master of Business Administration [MBA] is less than $2000, so there isn't a real need for scholarships (and I don't think there are any on offer officially from the school). The fee is heavily subsidized by the government, as FMS falls under the University of Delhi. Financing options are available from the State Bank of India, although it is important to note that the fees are unbelievably low for a business school.

Clubs and Associations

2

Almost all the activities at FMS are student driven, and there are multiple clubs whose associates are selected through interviews/voting depending on what that particular batch has decided.

Fees & Scholarships : 20,000 for 2 years. Enough said. No EMI's to be paid after graduation. So, effectively pay packages are more than other B-schools at least for the initial years.

Academics & Faculty : Faculty of FMS is very good. They have a huge experience. Apart from that, 90% attendance has been made compulsory in FMS and that makes students good in academics. There is semester system here, with each subject faculty taking mid term tests.
