Mechanical Engineering department at Chandigarh University has wonderful placement records with a highest package of 21 lakhs per annum and average package being 6.5 lakhs per annum. More than 95% students get placed in ME department.

Companies like Reliance Energy, Indigo, Godrej, Eveready, SANMAR, Honda, Hyundai, Denso, etc are regular recruiters here.

Software Companies like Microsoft, Google, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant etc also recruit Mechanical Engineers at CU.

Internship opportunities are also provided to students. After completion of 4th and 6th semesters, students are provided one month internship and in final year, they can go for 6 month internship also.

Chandigarh University has very good infrastructure. There are around 16 or 17 multistoreyed hostel buildings. Hostel fee is around 7000 per month, including food.

Fooding is okay in mess.

Classrooms are equipped with projectors, labs are equipped with the latest machines and equipments.

One must have 55% marks in 12th or equivalent exams.

Admissions can be taken in Mechanical Engineering by either appearing in JEE mains or through Chandigarh University Combined Entrance Test (CUCET). 

A good Rank in JEE or a good score in CUCET also makes you eligible for scholarships.

The curriculum is designed based on industrial requirements. Every year the curriculum is revised after Corporate Advisory Board and BOS Meetings.

Class Timings are from 9:30 to 4:20, 5 days a week. Continuous assessment is done. Two hourly tests and 1 final exam are there in every semester apart from surprise tests of each subject. 

The Mechanical Engineering Department has a highly qualified and experienced team of faculty members. The majority of faculty members are doctorates from IITs, NITs, IISC and other reputed institutions. they are very supportive and always available for guidance.

Overall Experience with faculty members is excellent.

Rs. 1,68,000/- is the course fee per year at Chandigarh University, [CU] Chandigarh.

A lot of scholarship options are available depending upon the student's rank in JEE or score in 12th or score in CUCET.

Upto 90% scholarships are provided to students of caliber.

CU Techfest, Tech Invent, Annual Athletic meeting for both students and faculty members, Punjab Youth Festival was organised this year at CU.

almost every weekend Bollywood stars and personalities from Punjabi film industries visit CU campus for Tashann Nites and Live Concerts.
