Placements and Internships
- I am currently doing only two months internship program (since my batch is still under VTU) and getting a stipend of 7K per month. However, since PESIT has become autonomus university from 2018 so it currently allows 6 months internship program for its students in their 8th semester.
- Our placement cell arranges for the best companies that you can think of, for our placement. Some examples of tier1 companies that visit our campus are Google India, Amazon, Cure.fit, Cisco, Morgan Stanley and many others.
- The roles vary from developer to consultant, analyst, sales etc. which depends on the requirements of the company as well as your skill set.
- Average salary is around 7 LPA which is much higher for PES University (Banashankri campus). The highest salary for the 2019 batch was 39 LPA offered by Microsoft. PES University offers 100% placement for its students.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- PES University (Electronic City Campus) has a boys hostel (for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year) inside the premises. Each room is occupied by 3 students. The condition of the hostel is average. The cleaning staff comes twice or thrice a week. The hostel fee would cost around 1 LPA which incudes rent as well as mass charges for whole year. Girls hostel and 1
- The hostel for 1st year boys and all the girls is present at a different location (6-7 km away) for which the bus facility is provided to reach college. Freshers are situated away to prevent ragging which is a good initiative by the college.
- There are a huge number of pgs available near and around the college. The cost of staying in these PGs varies from 5K to 10K depending on the sharing room or single room as well as the condition of the PGs.
- The cost of food is already included in the hostel charges. For non-hostellites, the meal costs around 40-50 rupees per meal. There are two food buses in the campus, two mess and two canteens. The quality of the food is decent here.
- The quality of classrooms is also good and well maintained. We are provided with projectors as well as TV screens in each room. All the labs are well equipped for the practical requirement. The library opens in the morning and is available to study for every student till 8 pm at night.
- The college library and hostel is provided with good WiFi speed which is accessible to all the students. Other than this college include a football ground, two basketball courts, a tennis court, a gym as well as a newly built auditorium.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The admission process for my college started with ComedK exam. Results usually come out with ranking for all the students for admissions in Karntaka state. Though PESIT now has its own entrance exam (known as PESSAT) other than the common entrance exam ComedK.
- I took ComedK entrance exam in 2016 through which I got admitted into PESIT South Campus (now known as PES University, Electronic City Campus).
- There is no specific cutoff for this exam but you will be given rankings based on which you will be attending counselling session to select your desired college in Karnataka. The selection choice is given on the basis of your ranking. The better your rank is in the exam, the better your college gets.
Academics and Faculty
- Classes start at 8:00 in the morning and go until 3:15. They provide us with two breaks (30 minutes and 45 minutes). Examination happens as a computer based test. We are required to do projects each semester which helps in improving our practical knowledge.
- The quality of teachers are really good. Some teachers are average. But every teacher is very supportive and easily approachable. Some of the faculties are PhD level that came from foreign universities. So it is a very good opportunity if we do some project under them.
- Overall experience of the college is very good and motivating as the students are also working as peer groups which motivates other students.
Fees and Scholarships
- Rs. 3,30,000/- is the course fee per year at PES Institute of Technology, [PESIT] Bangalore
- The course fee for students entering through PESSAT examinations is INR per annum.
- There are various kinds of scholarships available in both the campus.For instance, if a student is among the top 20% of his/her class (section) in terms of CGPA for a particular academic year, then he/she will get a tuition fee waiver of 40% for the next academic year of study (executed on semester basis). If a student secures a CGPA of 7.5 and above for a particular year, then he/she will receive cash prize money as a distinction award. There are various other kind of scholarships which include rural scholarship, corporate scholarship, research assistantship etc.
- The students get scholarships on the basis of their performance in each semester and their eligibility criteria.
- According to my knowledge most of the students who study here don't need loans. But some students are paying through loans, the eligibility criteria for which depends on the respective bank in which you are applying. Both campuses have Union Bank Of India branch in their premises.
Clubs and Associations
- There are around 30 clubs that have been built in past two years which are led and managed by the student. We have incubation center and professional research labs in the college premises.
- The main cultural festival of the college is MAAYA whuch is an inter-collegiate festival. Our college organizes one TEDx event for each other. Oher than that we have multiple hackathons and events every year like Ingenius, Kludgde etc.
- Overall life in college is good. If you want to learn and develop your skills for your future, it is a pretty decent college to opt for.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Entrance exams for admissions in our college are CET,COMDEk,PASSAT.The eligibility criteria for each exam is different. Students with rankings inside 10000 could easily get admissions through CET.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The criteria was basically 2nd PUC pass & good rank in CET. It was through CET that I got into this college. The cut off was 6000 rank for cse at the time of my admission.
