Sweta Shruti's Review on Doon Business School, [DBS] Dehradun

DBS has companies in FMCG, Banks, Finance, Agriculture, Automobile, Telecom, etc. Top recruiters like Royal Bank of Scotland, AXIS, ICICI, HDFC, Coca Cola, ITC, Parle Agro, MRF, Berger Paints, Siam International, Reliance Communication, TATA group are regular college visitors for placements.

There are 3 girls hostel, all 3 inside the campus, very strict security, around 300-400 girls reside in the hostel, after 6 PM no outsider entry allowed (especially boys). Dbs has students from all over India hence food a proper meal is served taking in account different cultures. The campus is wifi enabled & classes are smart classes with projectors, mikes for faculty & fully air-conditioned.

I took admission in Doon Business School on the basis of 12th class merit, a written internal exam of college & interview which can be held on skype also. Best thing I loved about college is that it provides a superb environment for academics & being a business school, provides every student with marketing exposure also.

The hostel has amenities like Gym / Yoga, so a session takes place every morning, those who love walking/running can go for long morning walks in the scenic beautiful terrains of Dehradun, it is the best part of the day for me. Then breakfast is served at the mess, I personally love the south Indian meals served & have made a lot of friends from the south. Classes start at 8:40 & lunchtime is at 1:10 for about half an hour then classes till 4:40. Breaks are given in between classes.

Admission Fee -15000

39000/ Semester fees which increase after 2 semesters. As per knowledge & exposure given, the fee is very justified.

There are more than 15 clubs in the college. Bulls & Bear Club, Public Speaking Club, Movie Club, Dramatics, dance, music, social welfare, wellness, backpackers club (my favourite- they take you for treks like nag tibba, tungnath etc).

We do not get time from college activities & academic pressure, it keeps us really really occupied
