College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4.5

The campus of IIIT Bhubaneswar is in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and is spread around 50 acres. IIIT Bhubaneswar is a residential college. There are some classrooms which are well equipped with projectors and computers. Students pursuing M.Tech and Ph.D. have a separate block for themselves and all of their classrooms are well equipped with projectors and computers for their daily classes. There are two hostels. One is the older one and the other is the new one. Blocks D to L are the old blocks and P, Q are the new ones. The new hostel has single rooms whereas the old hostel has sharing rooms. The new hostel is one on the costlier side but is much more comfortable than the older one. One can opt for the new hostel from second year only whereas the foreign students are given the new hostel by default. Apart from this, there are a lot of PGs and rented flats available within the radius of 2km. These PGs and hostels are also pretty much affordable and are available at around 5k per month. The fees for the new hostel is around 20k per semester whereas the fees for the old hostel are around 10k per semester only. The food offered in the mess is decent and lunch and dinner cost around Rs. 25 whereas the breakfast costs around Rs. 10 only. The quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, and mess is also nice. The best part about college is the high-speed Wi-Fi which works 24*7 and is accessible to all the students.
