Placements and Internships

4

I have done an internship provided by college itself, although it was a paid training sort of so it included no stipends. Key companies like IT, Service Sector Companies hire in bulk from our campus, providing us with an average salary of 3.18 lacs p.a. Alumni network is very good, they keep improving and tracking the various changes made in the IT trends and companies and keep us updated.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4.5

As far as I'm concerned, there is only one hostel which is for only boys located at Nerul and the fees is also pretty normal. There are really less PG's options near our college. Most of them are already filled. Finding a vacancy is really difficult here. Talking about food in our college, it is good we are served only veg food here(personal opinion). Rates are pretty high compared to the quantity, but the quality is unbeatable. As I've mentioned earlier about the infrastructure, the quality of classrooms, labs, libraries, canteen, is excellent. There is a continuos service available for all these. Wifi has a good connectivity throughout the campus

Entrance Exams and Admissions

So during my time, entrance exams were JEE and CET which was new to our batch. So admissions into Engineering colleges were based on CET score only. The eligibility criteria for boards were above 65% average of PCM. The procedure was through DTE only. The cutoff for open category students was 144 ish around that time yet they took more than 60 students on institute level basis.

Academics and Faculty

3.5

The daily routine is quite good. So it starts at 9 am and ends at 3.45 /4.45 / 5.45 pm. It differs from day to day. Projects are given huge importance in our college. Normally 3-4 project exhibitions take place in the campus itself by the students from VIT. Assignments are poured on the students at last moment sometimes but normally it is fine. Talking about the Quality and methods of teaching, they are pretty fine. Some are really running by reading the ppts while some are really excellent by illustrating live projects. We are being trained more on project-based learning PBL as they say.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

Our college is extremely infrastructure oriented so its a big hole in the pockets of students from vidyalankar. Be sure with Vidyalankar about this although. So it was 1.5 lacs last year. I personally belong to an open category so don't really know the scholarship schemes from our college. A couple of students last year have received the scholarship. As I said the fees are really high, definitely most of my friends have opted for bank loans.

Clubs and Associations

5

Our college has the maximum number of societies one could have. There is this main student council which includes Technical team, Cultural Team, Creatives, Publicity, Sports, Sponsorship team also I must have missed some of them which are responsible for the yearly festival and fresher's activities going around. Each branch has its own society formed. Every society has continuous events conducting within the campus. Along with the technical events many fun events are also taken care of. Our colleges believe in promoting the talents of each student, so a special society has been formed lately to encourage students with their respective talents. The main event of our college is VERVE which usually takes place during the even semesters in the month of Feb. It is a three days event, which is inclusive of technical events, fun, concerts, talents and what not. Life in college is awesome.
