Placements and Internships

5

Internships are provided from second year itself to the students who have potential. Recently we had tests for ISRO internship in which I was chosen first but later due to my internship in my training both internships would have been collapsed so the college selected someone else for it. Training students are been provided with internships in coming summer after the BE exams. The highest salary this year was 12lakhs per annum to a student from ETC department. Placement percentage this year is 100% for the first time.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

I am a Nagpur residential so I don't have information about hostel fees but hostels are available for studenta who come from outside everytime. Other expenses are the travelling charges which can differ if used college bus it starts from 17k-21k depending on the distance from your area to college. Food rates are very affordable and the quantity is also good. If one wants to eat food everyday in college the best option is the thali worth Rs 40/- each. Other options rather than canteen are the anna and the ccd in our college. Classrooms are spacious and each classroom rather the whole campus is under cctv surveillance. Ventilation is proper. Solar power is used in our college. Infrastructure is built up very systematically with lots of greenery to have good natural environment. Wifi is provided all over the campus. Library facility is also the best facility for students to issue books either you can pay 5000 of 4 years and you'll get books required for each semester or you can issue books free of cost but only 3 books can be issued if 4th book is needed then you have to return 1 of the 3 books.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

I appeared for JEE and MH-CET examinations after my 12th exam. During admissions for BE the criteria was based firstly on PCM aggregate of 50-60%. After that branches were alloted based on marks scored in MH-CET exam. For CS it was 75+ marks in CET for IT it was 68+ marks. I had 71marks in my CET so i was alloted IT. My journey from first year till now to the end of second year has been a very learning and gaining knowledge practical knowledge about different aspects in IT. My college takes lots of initiative for development of students. They have selected students with potential and started their training for their placements from second year itself and the training assures 100% guaranteed placement with 2lakhs and above package based upon our capability. Recently a mega campus drive was held at our campus in which 15000+ students registered and got placed in MNC's. Total 13 MNC's came for their need of 300-500 students. Some companies were MI, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, etc. After this mega drive our college got its biggest achievement upto the time, and it was 100% students were placed from each department (excluding the student who wanted to do something of their own or family business). My college provides many opportunities to students to develop in each and every aspect. Everyone if been serious towards their career can have a bright future and my college is a platform were students can make their future bright.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

The college timings are 10:30 am to 5:30 am (6 lectures of 1 hour each + 1-hour recess). We have tutorials in which the class is divided into two batches to reduce the number of students for doubts. Students are free to ask doubts in tutorials and due to less strength teachers are able to clear doubts of each and every one personally. There are practicals every alternate day of different subjects for 2 hours. Assignments and projects are given based on the subjects and the examination point of view. The assignments become the notes or the study material for exams. Creative assignments are given for each subject separately to gain extra knowledge beyond the syllabus. The teaching-learning process is overall a good experience in S. B JAIN.

Fees and Scholarships

4.5

Fees according to categories are : 1)Open - 1,04,000 2)OBC - 53,000 3)SBC - 15000 4)SC/NT/VJ - 10000 Scholarship options are available to every student of every category. If the admission is done through cap allotment then one will definitely get a scholarship. Students who are poor are provided scholarship under the scholarship program of our college + the scholarship from the government. Only students who get admission through management do not get scholarships. Loans are not taken by any student yet so no one has idea about loan procedure.

Clubs and Associations

5

Our college supports academics at its high but also cultural festivals are celebrated. Sankrant is celebrated every year in the celebration of BHARARI. The annual gathering is called TECHNO-UTSAV which is a 3 day gathering along with technical, non technical events along with dj, dances and songs. Holi is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm along with dhols and dj every year. Other days like, teachers day, yoga daya, womens day, etc are celebrated. Ganeshji comes to our college every year and for 10days whole college is a festival after college hours. Life in our college is a mixed life not only studies but a lots of events for enjoyment too. So no boring days are for continue period of time.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : This college is Engineering College whereas from last 4 years they started MBA and M.Tech fields so let's talk about some important points. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: For eligibility, Your PCM(PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHEMATICS) marks total should be greater than 150 and Admission procedure is simple it's all upyog your marks more marks you get your priority will be high. ENTRANCE EXAM: You should have given an entrance exam like JEE, etc so this will help you for admission priority. At the time of My Batch 2012 there was AIEEE ND SEEE Exam so I cleared SEEE and got a admission in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Field but now there is only One common exam called NEET. So you just need to prepare for that and maintain your PCM. CUT OFF FOR COURSES: Different streams take different cutoff, let me take 2012 cut off's so mechanical cutoff in SEEE is 75+ and PCM 150+ Similarly for Information Technology in SEEE is 58+ and PCM 140+ so it varies in different streams.
