College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
The course is a 2-year full-time residential course. Students have to stay in the hostel, they don't have any other options like PG. Hostel fees would be 2.2 lakh for 2years. The food in college is OK. The mess fees would be between Rs 2.8k-3.1k it would vary every month. The Wi-Fi is top notch. The classrooms and library halls are structured well. There are 3 library floors, one floor is meant for students to interact and study. There is also an interaction room for students.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The admission for SDMIMD is any graduate can apply with 50 % throughout their graduate course. Admission procedure for sdmimd is that there would be an essay writing followed by group discussion and Personal interview. The entrance exam which I took was CAT. You can also take other entrance exams like CMAT, MAT as well.
Academics and Faculty
The class timings is from 9 am to 6 pm. Coming to assignments and projects there will be a lot of assignments and projects throughout the 2 years of study. Teaching wise the faculty are highly knowledge and they are approachable also if anyone has any doubt. The overall experience for me was very good and 2 years of worth studying here.
Fees and Scholarships
SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore Management offers PGDM course for a course fee of Rs 9,00,000 for 2 years.
Regarding scholarship, people who have 70% throughout their curriculum (10th,12th, degree) would get scholarship benefit.
Loans are needed. The college would help in the loan process also.
Clubs and Associations
There are some 15 student clubs in the college and the college also an alumni association called Prerana. There are 2 fests which are conducted in the college. One is Abhigyaan which is for undergraduate students. Another is Naissance which is a flagship event of SDMIMD. Along with this the college also celebrates other festivals like Ganesha Chaturthi, Kannada Rajyotsava, Christmas, Durga Pooja and Sankaranthi . Overall the life in SDMIMD would be good with great learning experience with some fun.
