Placements and Internships

4

  • No, I haven't done any internship yet so far.
  • It is really beneficial for a person specializing in Marketing from our college as the number of marketing placements keeps on rising every year. Plus, there are better opportunities when a person goes out and works especially in the FMCG or Banking Industry as firms from these sectors generally offer high incentives and fringe benefits.
  • The average salary of any person from UBS is around 6.5 lacs per annum. A record sum of 16 lacs is being offered to someone from the last year's MBA batch, and the college placement team also ensures that about 99% of the students get assured placements.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

  • There are 7 hostel wings in total with 5 row-houses allotted to each wing. Hostels are really well furnished and spacious from inside and provide a feeling as if you are staying a luxurious 5-star resort. The hostel fees (with food) are 1.5 lacs for the ones opting for dual-sharing rooms and 2 lacs for the single-sharing ones.
  • There are no PGs in Karjat city but a lot of residential facilities are available. Although it's a residential college, it doesn't allow the students to take boarding and lodging facility outside.
  • Cost of meals are included in boarding and lodging option, and the quality of food here in the cafeteria is quite horrendous in fact, though it gives miscellaneous options to the students.
  • We have well-furnished classrooms and the Library is the stupendous part of the college. WiFi facilities are a bit fluctuating but runs with good speed and offers various options for the students to study too. To comment upon the infrastructure altogether, it's really unique seeing a college established in the lap of nature and surrounded by hills in galore. The buildings do get tarnished with time but the management committee revives things with ease and efficiency.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • It is mandatory for every individual to have qualified 12th Boards with a Letter of Recommendation from their Alma Mater. For the course of Integrated MBA, one has to first give an aptitude test and followed by a Skype Interview, and then he/she shall be considered for the admission.
  • I gave UGAT (Undergraduate Aptitude Test) as a part of my entrance examination.
  • For a person to get shortlisted for this particular course, he/she should have good communication skills and the required aptitude percentile which the institution asks for. My performance and admission were assessed on that basis only.

Academics and Faculty

4

  • The daily routine of an arbitrary UBS student is neither hectic nor so easy as it seems. We have 3 lectures each weekday which starts from 10 am and ends by 3:00 pm. The quality of assignments, presentations, and projects on which we work is just impeccable to comment upon.
  • The teaching system is inspired by the British education system in our college. Professors here teach us with so much efficiency and which makes the module so industrious to study.
  • To comment upon my personal experience, I found UBS as an appropriate place if one is concerned with excellent teaching techniques and the quality of placements. Apart from that, you get to visualize an early corporate exposure when you make relations with the people over here.

Fees and Scholarships

3

  • Since I have opted for an Integrated MBA, we have to pay 5 lacs as a part of our tuition fee every year.
  • For the students who have scored above 90% in their 12th Boards, they get to have a 20% concession in their tuition fees. Students with a score of above 80% also get a scholarship discount of 10%.
  • As far as I am concerned, there are about 6 people in our batch with 80% and above. So, maybe every year around 7-8 people from the same course get a scholarship discount in their tuition fees.
  • Yes, there is a loan procedure at our college. One could talk to the college administrator as he takes charge of admission procedure and tuition fees, and there are various banks available to offer education loans as well.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

  • There are several clubs on campus, and the biggest of them being ELC. We do have other clubs which work on towards sustainable development, CSR, and separate career and personality development skills like UIC, HR, and Techops.
  • The biggest festival which we organize with passion and zeal is the Midnight Sunrise. Other than that, we do have Octave Nights, Rush4Rush, Symposium, and many other cultural fests and competitions like Trending and Speaker of the Year.
  • Life is extremely peaceful here with several options available for individuals. They are maintaining their personality in every sub-discipline, respecting the time and giving efforts in academics. The best part about UBS is the people which you get to interact with.
