Meghna Pillala's Review on The Oxford College of Business Management

There were no internships provided by the college. The placements are for handy candidates.

•  Placements are nearly 70% which depends solely on marks obtained in graduation.
•  Companies which hire from the campus are mostly BPO's, Sales and Marketing, Human resource.
•  For core finance, there are no such good placements.

       The average salary for marketing in BBA is 2.2 lpa, sales are 2.0 lpa, BPO is 3.8lpa

       Overall alumni are not much satisfactory.

The infrastructure of hostels are good with 24hrs security and 3 wardens, nearly 70 rooms are given for 2 students each.

•  The hostel follows strict timing restriction and only 2 days outing is provided for 3 hrs.
•  There is PG accommodation right in front of college and rent starts from 5.5k for 4 sharing.

The food quality has improved recently with affordable meals and snacks(meals is nearly Rs 40).

• The classrooms are not well maintained with proper furniture and patched walls, lab classes are not provided, the parking zone is not sanitized, no dining area, no sports room allocated.
• The library has good infrastructure with all information available, desktops are also allowed for knowledge purpose.  

Eligibility: Candidate with aggregate 50%  in overall subjects are eligible.

Admission: Interested candidates can register directly through the website and apply.

Merit screening: Admission is based on marks obtained in 10th,10+2 PUC.

The classes commence from 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm which includes 5 periods a day, 1 hour each.

• Assignments and projects are rarely given as lectures consist of oral activities.

There is some very well qualified faculty whose teaching is worth but few teachers are not well versed with the subjects provided.

•  The overall experience is less than satisfactory as there is no support for corporate training and logical learning.

The fees structure is 55000/annum and is a 3 years course(1st-year fees is to 9:30 am in demand draft).

• The scholarships being offered are only for the first three rank holders 25k for 1st and 15k for next respective rankers.
• The average number of students who achieve the scholarship are only 3 to 4(SC/ST there is another scheme related fee structure).
• As the fee structure is affordable there is no necessity for the loan, but if needed can be availed from any bank.

There is only one association called NCS, a council for students leadership skills is present and annually a president and the members are selected for the council.

• The main festivals include Onam, independence day and few cultures are celebrated grandly.

Overall college life is good as free hours are given and there are few hangouts available near the college to chill in.
