Entrance Exams and Admissions

I am a BSc. MEC (Mathematics, Electronics, and Computer Science) student at St. Joseph Autonomous College. 12th-grade mark and a personal interview were the criteria for the admissions. For certain courses, there are entrance tests conducted by the college itself.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

The normal classes begin at 8 am till 4 pm in the evening every day from Monday to Friday. First and third Saturdays are working days from 8 to 1. The marking system is 30-70 internal and external assessment respectively. The internal marks constitute internal assessments like assignments, projects, and internal examinations. These examinations are both theory and practicals. Each period is an hour. There are no prescribed texts for any subject in particular. The teachers give both lecture and written notes and there are reference textbooks which are more than enough. The teachers, through the experience of years, have made it easy for the students to approach them for help. The college has a strict attendance policy. Every student has to have an attendance of 75%. If the student has failed to have an attendance of 75%, hi/her hall-ticket will be withheld and the student will have to repeat the semester. The college has strict rules that are to be followed compulsorily.  The different associations and the overall environment in college are remarkable. The authorities of the college make it sure that every student experience true college life and come out as good citizens of the society.
