I haven't got any internship and a related stipend. A large number of companies participate in the campus placement drive to hire students. The average salary is around INR4-5 lakhs p.a. while the highest was grossed at INR 1.5 crores. The alumni network is amazing as each student makes a bond with the other in the same branch in the campus.
There are many hostels ( 10, I guess) in the campus and the hostel fee per month is approx INR 10k. I don't know much about the PGs as I am a fresher and just joined the institute. The food and other facilities such as classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi and other key infrastructure are awesome and at par with the standards.
Bits Pilani is a premium private institute in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. The eligibility criteria for entering the institute is to be 18 years and should have been qualified 10+2 with minimum 60 percent aggregate in the 10+2 exams. The institute conducts its own entrance test known as BITSAT on the basis of which it admits the students. The cutoff generally varies over a large range of different courses, the cutoff for my course i.e. computer science and engineering was 382 in the previous year.
The daily routine comprises of projects, exams, and assignments, while the exams occur at the end of the semester, the assignment is given at regular basis. The quality and method are the best available in the country. The overall experience is amazing with coding at the prima facie of the institute.
The course fee is around INR 1.5 lakhs to INR 2 lakh rupees p.a. There are many scholarship options available for all the students with the main focus on academic excellence. Average 10 students get a scholarship every year. For people with a poor economic background, there is a need of loans, almost all the banks are available to provide loans and there is no such need to worry about the financial problems as banks provide loans easily.
There are many societies and clubs on the campus which provide a lot of opportunities to showcase our talents. Many festivals are conducted too on the campus, I have heard of the oasis as being one of the largest festivals in Asia and I am yet to experience it. The life in college is not like a roller coaster and of course not a smooth one too. There are many hips and hops that take place and we have to adapt according to it. In general life here is a dream come true sort of thing with a twist to it.
