Devak Ohri's Review on Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology

Thapar's Alumni network is quite very strong. There is a student-alumni interaction cell as well. Talking about the placements and average salary figures, students are able to get descent packages from the campus itself. Startups are also given space and support to grow under guidance provided by experts.

There are 9 hostels at present. INR 42000 rupees is the per semester fees for the hostel. Pgs outside the college are good too but the rates are little higher. Food provided is satisfactory. Quality of classrooms and library is great.

The procedure for admission in Thapar Institute is very simple. You need to fill the admission form first. You must have made an appearance in JEE Main entrance exam. The cutoff for getting a seat isn't that high or low. At least you must have cleared the entrance exam to be able to be still In the race to get your dream branch.

Class timings are 8 am to 5 pm. Teachers are great they pay attention to every child uniquely. The college experience is great. Provides a great platform to explore your own self and also a great life learning experience.

The fee is INR 4lacs per annum. Scholarships are available on performing exceptionally well in academics as well as sports sector. Top 10% of the total students in the branch are eligible to apply for scholarships. Though Education loans aren't needed, still SBI and ICICI banks do provide loans and have branches the campus as well.

There are many student societies in the college. Frosh, edc, saic, ccs and many more. Saturnalia is the main techno-cultural fest of the college and urja being the annual sports fest of the college.
