Placements and Internships

2.5

From what I heatrd, the computer science and electrical students get placed well, but it's not the case for other branches.

Academics and Faculty

4

The academic schedule is good, since we have fractal credits for different courses, so we can opt for courses from different fields. There's continuous evaluation.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

The college fee is pretty much affordable, and there are many banks providing loans too. You need to score above a certain grade for scholarships.

Academics & Faculty : Second year is a bit hectic with classes till 5:30. Assignments are given almost twice a week. We have fractals academics in IIT Hyderabad, exams happen min thrice in a sem. IIT Hyd follows continous evaluation.  Prof. are mostly young with average age being 35 years. They have many contacts in foreign universities.  Permanent campus is in construction phase, so a lot of time is wasted in travelling from tempoarary campus to permanent campus.

Academics & Faculty : Being in second year, the daily routine becomes qiute hectic. Travelling from ODF ( Hostels) to Kandi ( Academic Bulilding) leads to a lot of wastage of time. Generally we are free by 5:30 in the evening. I am a part fo BAJA team, so for me it is usually longer.  IIT Hyd has fractal academics( our sem is divided into 3 segments) which means we dont have end sems or mid sems but have end segments.  Prof. are mostly young, average age is around 35-40. Also they are very friendly and cooperative.  Because of fractals we have to study throughout the sem, because of fractals we are able to study more things related to our branch rather than general courses

Academics & Faculty : We have fractal system in IIT Hyderabad, which means that we have exams 3 times in a semester, plus if a prof. wish he or she can take exams in between as well. One of the benefits of having fractal system is that we dont have the burden of end sems or mid sems. We generally have 3-4 assignments which needs to submitted on a weakly basis ( This may vary from branch to branch, also from segment ot segment) Prof. are very cooperative, you can approach them any time up till 5pm. Prof are generally middle aged with average age being 35, so they are not much experienced but are up to date with latest tech. I am quite satisfied with IIT Hyd, especially the academics part.

Academics & Faculty : Being a member of Baja Team for 2016-2017 my daily routine is bit hectic as compared to the other students of Mechanical. Time Management becomes very important. Mostly classes are till 1p.m. and some times they are extended till 6 Pm. We have fractal academics and the exams are held almost once in every month. Prof. are really helpful and friendly and have contacts worldwide. Top students get a chance to do internship in University of Purdue.  I think I made the right decision by entering into IIT hyderabad.
