Zakir Husain Delhi College has always stood steadfast as a champion of some basic values which have acquired greater relevance in contemporary times. On entering the college every year new students from the “walled city”, from across the river, as also from the South and North of Delhi and other parts of the country, walk into an ambience of composite bearing and harmony.

(3)Rs. 1100 for Science stream and B.Tech stream.

One scholarship of the value of Rs. 1100 to a student securing highest percentage of marks in college at the second year Arts/Humanities Stream of University examination in Political Science.
Kumar Shubham Memorial Scholarship

Mrs. Harjinder Grover Memorial Award
Botany Department awards a cash prize of Rs. 500/- each to the students securing highest marks in B.Sc (Honours) in Botany Semester IV.The prize money is funded by theHarjinder Grover Endowment Fund which was instituted in the memory of Late Dr. (Mrs.)Harjinder Grover who remained on the faculty of the department for a long time.
S.P. Suri Memorial Award
Chemistry Department awards every year a medal,books and certificate to the students securing highest marks in Sciences Bechelor with Honours in Chemistry I,II,III year in the college as well as to the student who tops the Delhi University in B.Sc. (Honours)Chemistry III year.The award is instituted in the memory of Late Mr. S.P. Suri who established the Chemistry Department in the College and was on its faculty till 1987.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I was given admission based on the marks that I scored in my 12th standard. I am doing my graduation in Economics. Generally the cutoffs of this college is high.
