Placements and Internships
The university has applied me to a pharmaceutical company, Sun Pharmaceuticals. It was just to give us the practical knowledge of the subject and what work has to be done once we get placements in some company. It was a good experience. Many students were placed in different companies. No such salary has been given to us.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There is a separate hostel for girls and boys with quite a good furniture. There are many options for students to live in PG outside the college and are affordable for many students. The food in college is of average quality and the cost depends on which meal we are taking. The classroom, labs, library etc have a very good infrastructure with central air conditioning facilities. The college also provides wifi facility in each block.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The eligibility criteria was a percentage of 75% or above for the admission. We have to fill the course form with all our personal and education details. A general aptitude test was conducted prior to the admission which is followed by an interview conducted by faculty of the particular chosen field. The basic cutoff for the course is to clear 10+2 with PCB as the main subjects.
Academics and Faculty
Our daily college routine starts at 9:00 am and is up to 5:30 pm in the evening. In a semester we have 2 class tests and end semester exams for each subject including the practical. Also, we have to make a project report of each subject on the assigned topics. The quality of teaching is good and faculty uses notes and PPT for teaching. The overall experience is quite good in the college.
Fees and Scholarships
The fee for our course is approx INR 1,60,000 per year. Students who have 90% above marks in 10+2 can apply for the scholarship. Student loans are available in many banks which can be applied if needed.
Clubs and Associations
There are many different societies and clubs for students depending on their interest including drama, dance, sports etc. The college conducts many festivals like Sangathan, inbush, amity youthfest and many more. My life in college is really very good. It is like a second home for me.
