Sai Bharadwaj's Review on National Institute of Technology, [NIT] Kurukshetra

I did my internship at Vizag Steel plant, Vizag, A.P. in communication dept. various companies come to visit the college...the list starts with Google, Facebook, Amazon to all sorts of companies from electronics like Cdot, Azcom, orange. the list is quite big. all most everyone gets placed. provided you don't have too many backlogs. 1or2 is fine. Study like a average student with minimum interest and u still can get a job for 5lpa. The alumni network is really strong.

we almost have some 15-20 hostels. this is least of our problems. The semester fee also includes the hostel fee but the mess fee should be paid monthly which is around INR 3000₹ per month. the Mess is run privately and the food is not that great but u will survive. Classrooms are good but no A.C (may start from next year). labs and libraries are all good. again the internet is the least worry. use as much as u want.

Since I joined the college in 2014, every student who has to join an NIT should give JEE MAIN. With your AIR, u apply across all eligible NIT's and IIIT's and some deemed colleges also while the engineering stream branches(eg: ECE, CS) from all colleges all ranked based on college ranking. i.e seats in top NIT's gets filled at very high cutoff since most top rankers opt for that.

the college starts at 8.30 am and ends at 4.30 pm. we have an average of 6 subjects per semester with an average of 2 labs (for ECE department) Most subjects have lecture classes and also tutorial classes. Tut classes are more interactive to clarify doubts. my overall experience is great. best part the library provides books for each semester and take them back at the end of it. No need buy a single book.

we have 2 semesters per year and we pay INR 42000₹ per semester but that changes from year to year. I mean my seniors who are 2013 batch only paid 20000₹ for the semester all through the 4 years of their college. Changes in government norms also affect the fee since this is central government-linked college. I don't know the no of scholarship provided but u have some advantages if u know about them correctly. loans are easily provided because of the availability of SBI within college premises

there are a lot of clubs ranging from technical to photography, dance, art, management. 2festivals are held per each year which is main ones. Techspradra (technical) confluence (cultural) we have many others too. life in college is great provided you open to others and enjoy the life and not staying in our room all day
